Cooke Suspended Today

Not trolling at all. Actually a season ticket holder since Hoiberg's 2nd year. Been a State fan my whole life. Watch the demeanor of the bench and the coaches. It's clear that Otz is extremely frustrated. You can see that Morris isn't happy. Sadly I'm guessing he'll enter the draft. The 3-4 transfers are as follows, Cooke, Ashton, Carter, possibly Ernst. You could also see Jakolby Long request a transfer and worst case scenario a de-commit from Cameron Lard

Jesus ****** dude. Take a step back from the ledge for a second. I don't think this team is going to totally hemorrhage in the next year, even if we lose a couple more.

Some people need to remember what it was like pre-Fred.

This just sucks. Regardless of how much Hallice scored, that's one less sub to give our starters a breather. Not to mention they've been practicing how long with Hallice coming in, so this causes them to make even more changes with no practice time before the game. Doubt Ashton has even practiced with the top 5.

Are we to assume this (whatever it is) happened when they were in Manhattan last night?

No clue about this transfer talk, tho. Hallice is probably frustrated with PT like others have said. Especially since he was a spark down the stretch his freshmen year at Oregon State. But, I've posted it before about how a close source observing practices said Cooke was not going to be a huge contributor. Plus, we all assumed he was going to have to knock a lot of the rust off after surgery. I guess guys just don't relish being a role player on a power5 team. It would be tough to crack the lineup next year if CW's guess comes true...that would be Monte would come back. Him, Naz, and Matt as senior guards plus Jackson. But I think we're probably going to be playing four guards most of the game anyway.

As for TJ, who knows. Probably depends a lot on the exact coaching opportunity he may or may not get. But I don't get the frustration spoken on here during games. He's probably as frustrated at how we're playing at times, just like everyone is. Or how about he might have done the game planning for the opponent and sees the players not executing it. He just tweeted about a great practice and great leadership from Niang/Morris. And seems to stay positive.

Yes, I mean logically who is going to transfer? McKay, Niang, and Nader are graduating. Thomas? Nope. Morris? Nope. Burton? Nope. Naz? Nope. Even for Cooke, that wouldn't seem to be the wisest move as he would have 2 years to play 1 if he left.

Exactly. Niang, Nader, and McKay are gone regardless. Morris is either going to the NBA or staying his Sr year. Who else does that leave to transfer? A redshirt freshmen, Thomas who may very well be the man next season, or Burton and Cooke who have already transfered and sat out. I'm not seeing 3 or 4 possibilities there.

Jakolby Long? Now where speculating when HS seniors are going to transfer?

Hallice didn't travel, so it was sometime before they left Ames.

as someone who has been to practices and who sees these guys practice, if Carter starts getting significant minutes, it is not good and we are most likely at that time a bubble team. I shared in a thread in October my insights and said Cooke would be a disappointment (some of you need to start reading in between the lines) and that Burton was going to be Big 12 newcomer of the year and that Carter would not be getting any minutes this year. I know your trying to look at the Bright side of things but You guys need to let the Carter thing go, he's just not ready.
So you are saying the best we can hope for all season is a five to six man team. Maybe that is what we are. Thx, Fred.

Its a good thing social media, CF, and Hines wasn't around during Floyd and Eustachy years. Twitter and CF would be on fire with all the players that said they were going to transfer during those years.

Thanks for your analysis. Now go grab a beer.
