Would you rather stand pat in the current league or have a new conference?
the Big West with the following teams...
Iowa State, Kansas, K State, Ok State, TCU, T Tech, Baylor + Colorado, Utah, Cal, Arizona, ASU, Oregon St, Wash St and BYU

None of this SMU, Houston, WVU, Nati, UCF.
I think the Big West sounds really good. The Big 12 without Mizzou, Nebby, Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma isn't the same. Just a thought

The Big West is an outstanding name. SEC and Big Ten are gonna take who they want..or who they can agree on. Rebranding and organizing a 3rd huge conference, the Big West is a great idea I'm not thrilled about the backfill of Houston, UCF. BYU is an outstanding get tho. SEC and Big Ten are too far ahead, plan is needed

Well it’s worked out pretty well so far. And yeah, a conference that was about to go away is pretty desperate.

When you are choosing amongst G5 teams for Conference membership you are desperate. In the Big 12’s case they seemed to have pulled it off and got a pretty good deal. Now the best G5 choices have been taken by the Big 12 and you are looking at teams that are worse choices.
