I am not saying losing recruits isn't a concern. But with that said, I work in the Quad Cities and one guy I work with goes to all the Bettendorf games. He says this kid has great size potential but has been man handled in most games by non-DI recruits. He told me he thought it was pretty telling when the Bettendorf running backs normally run to the other side of the offense.

We talked about this kid wavering this morning and it told me it wouldn't appear to be too big of a loss. He's not an Iowa fan (Notre Dame) so he can be trusted.

Still hope we get him but it doesn't appear this kid is currently a "big time" recruit.

I don't think that any guy off the street can be a good judge of OLs. A guy like Lichtenburg, you are basically projecting what kind of player he'll be after he adds 40-50 lbs of muscle. Joe Schmoe at the coffee shop isn't going to notice a guy's footwork or mobility or quickness off the ball. Same thing applies for Boffeli.

Give Rhoads a chance to talk to the kids and things will work out.
