1. At no point have I trashed Fred...but as you have proven before, and been called out on. You aren't one to let facts get in the way of an argument.

2. Of course Fred is going to recommend someone in his coaching tree. What do you expect him to do? Have you ever watched one of these scenarios play out in your life? Coaches leaving on their own terms will ALWAYS endorse someone in their coaching tree.

You have implied that Fred is lying when it comes to his comments about Otzelberger.

What evidence do you have that Otzelberger is not a good X's and O's coach?
What evidence do you have he is a good head coach?

You are asking the wrong question. What evidence do you have that he is, other than some cheap and meaningless comment at a goodbye presser? He has been a part of two successful seasons in 9 years of coaching at this level (for which the program reached even greater heights after he left). Or is this due to his recruiting?

TJ is a great Plan C guy and could have success here, but based on the absolute trash you spew, the other candidates look much better.

No distortions at all. I have linked the article. Fred said that Otzelberger would make a "terrific coach" and said that Otzelberger 'is a very good X's and O's coach". Here it is again.

Oh please. I like Fred, but I think we all should have realized by now he is looking out for himself and only himself. If he really cared, he would have quit much sooner in order to help Iowa State land the best coach possible.

Fred enforcing TJ as head coach actually makes me more concerned about him.

None. Because he has NEVER been a head coach.

On the other hand, we do have evidence that Underwood, Prohm, and Drew can coach.

LOL. Hoiberg says he is a very good X's and O's coach. How do you know that Otzelberger wasn't doing the X's and O's for Fred after Lutz left?

Conference Champions go to the NCAA Tourney. Prohm's teams won the West Division but not the Conference in those other years.

Conference Tournament Champions go. In that respect he has 1 Conference Tournament Championship.

As far as your second comment. Once again you are wrong. Please stop.

Prohm has one conference championship.

Conference Champions get automatic bids to the NCAA Tourney. Between all 3 coaches they have 5 NCAA Tourney teams.

Stormin are you serious? Those mid majors don't get Tourney bids for Reg Season Conf Titles, only the Tourney Champ gets auto bid.

Sounds like what almost everyone has said here. Most feel TJ will someday be a terrific coach. Fred never said anything about him being a terrific replacement going into the 15-16 season.

Some good ole Stormin distortion- Fred does the standard praise your staff and friends (when asked, no less) with vague generic answers, and Stormin has it as an endorsement. Nevermind the fact Fred months ago stopped making decisions with what was best for ISU MBB in mind.

Prohm did not win the regular season Conference Championship those other 3 years. They were DIVISION Champs. I guess you can not see the difference.

If he's only looking out for himself then why would he help TJ? Would have been pretty hard for Fred to leave BEFORE the Bulls job opened.

Do you now want TJ just to spite Fred for leaving? Don't take it so personal.

Fred's public comments re Otz are almost meaningless. It's what he says behind closed doors that carry great weight.

If Fred strongly endorses Otz in private to JP get a good staff and sign him up.

No poster has any idea if TJ is a good X & O's coach because we haven't seen him in action... CFH and Pollard have watched him in practices and talked with him on strategy so they would have a decent idea of the type of plays he would have created and they seem to be sold on him there.

I would agree with the general idea that TJ would stay on staff this year to help the transition of the roster to an outside head coach though that would be left up to the new guys prerogative.
After TJ's one year deal is up I am not so sure he stays, and that is a major concern considering the 6-7 open scholarships in 2016. We may have to go through another Matt A. lead recruiter leaving scenario next spring if TJ isn't comfortable under Prohm, Underwood or Drew. I don't want to have TJ build recruiting relationships for a year and leave for a Mid-Major job leading to de-commits and targets dropping ISU from their list next spring again.

Not the reason for Pollard to hire Otz but it has to be a factor to consider.

No, you are the one that is wrong...again.

2011-12 15-1 Conference Champs
2014-15 16-0 Conference Champs

2012-13 and 2013-14 they were division champs

This was my whole point in the post of mine that you quoted.

I really want to use "let me google that for you" right now but I won't.

As far as Prohm he won out right Conf Titles in 2012 and 2015.

It always baffles me that people that can't use search engines can figure out how to post on CyFan
