Still gotta keep Missouri, who is reportedly scheduled to interview Campbell, in the back of your mind.
ISU's best bet, if they want him, is to offer quickly and apply the pressure to accept before he sees other options.
One more comment about religion in this thread, or others on coaching, equals an automatic 14 day ban, end of story. No exceptions, even for "jokes".
Write a letter to your congressman.Ban if you wish, but i think our fan base deserves to know exactlt how much this plays into JP's search criteria and if that is even legal at a public university...let alone an AD acting in best interest of our teams.
Meh. Asking what people do on the weekends isn't a forbidden question in interviews. Plus, I'd rather a coach not be getting ripped on hookers and blow the night before a game.Ban if you wish, but i think our fan base deserves to know exactlt how much this plays into JP's search criteria and if that is even legal at a public university...let alone an AD acting in best interest of our teams.
So your premise is all people with high morals lose?Good to know we're still using the criteria that caused us to pass on Jim Harbaugh because of his naughty language.
We're going to get exactly what we deserve yet again. Honor Instead of Victory.
I think High morals and success are pretty uncorrelated. So your premise is all people with high morals lose?
Not the case. Trust me.
do you suppose he cussed in the post game interview after getting his *** handed to him by OSU?Obviously he is a great coach but I'm sorry if you cuss in your interview you shouldn't be getting the job. This is coming from someone who has no problem with cussing.
i would say they are an impediment to short term success but usually help maintain success. Just ask Joe Pa.I think High morals and success are pretty uncorrelated.

This.
So are low morals. The point is that Pollard should be hiring the best candidate to run a football program and how faithful that candidate is should not be a factor. It's not even legal.
I don't say this to imply character is not important. Being a good representative of the University/good role model for our players does not mean you need to wear your religious beliefs on you sleeve. That's all I'm saying.
Short term gain not doing the right thing. Long term tarnished reputation.Uh, I dunno if Paterno is the best example there...
