Uh-huh.
I loved the way our guys played hard at OU against a bad and shorthanded team.
I loved the way that hard effort paid off with one conference win that wasn't against Nebraska or CU.
I really loved the pass off the knee on a fastbreak against Mizzou, and then the way nobody was smart enough to pressure the ball the whole way up the court. That right there was effort.
Seems we were not supposed to comment on how bad our bball program was during the season, players deserved our support. Now we are not supposed to talk about how bad our program is, it will hurt our recruiting.
Was there a two week window when the rage was appropriate? Or was it like a 5 day deal between our annual opening round Big12 tourney loss and the pathetic McD and JP "nobody is going anywhere" press conference?
After 4 years of horrible results, and the way certain people defend our coach when he has done nothing to earn such loyalty from actual ISU fans, other than take boatloads of our money, I am to the point where I actually either don't care about ISU basketball, or I want more failure, so that something gets done and one or two people are gone from ISU. I can't follow this horrible product, or get behind it, or want more of it, or hope that it will magically change just because it is a new season. Logic forbids it.
Every year our basketball glory fades a little more, and the memories of conference and tourney championships grow more distant. We are digging ourselves into a deeper hole also. I can't give the blind loyalty anymore. I am just going to laugh at how bad things have gotten, and feel sorry for those foolish enough to think that things will improve without drastic changes.
