Cloeman-Lands transfer

Yeah, I'm happy for the kid. He played on some horrible teams. And he was by far our most consistent player last year. I just think about how two starting guards from last year's mess just transferred to Gonzaga and KU. Not a great look for Prohm.

Prohm did win some games with young THT and Tyrese who were effectively top 5 or top 10 rookies in the NBA this year...so while they are good players I doubt they are that good.

Traitor.

(Kidding.)

Kansas is probably going to kick our butts twice with or without him. Doesn't affect us. Definitely a place where JCL can be a complementary piece and expect to finally be on a winning team.

Seems like a good kid/hope good things happen to him.

Would have preferred he went out of conference, but this isn't a big deal.

Funny that Bolton and JCL could be playing each other in the Final Four ten months from now on different teams.

After the news of his transfer to Kansas, what does this say to you- either KU really is desperate, or Prohm really didn't know how to use him. I really think KU is really, really deseparate.

ehhh....he wasn’t the problem last year and I am not sure how prohm should have used him differently.

None of the Star Wars movies are canon outside of the original three.

Bold take, Sig. Bold take. And may the Cloemanlandis thread derailing begin!

"I hate Steve Prohm" derails every other thread. Why not a fun derailment finally?

I don't like Steve Prohm. He's all coarse, and rough, and irritating. And he gets everywhere.
Yes, because when I think "fun" I think "people b!tching about Star Wars"!

I thought he was used well last year. I wish TJ could have hung on to him.

I think we found adequate replacements, but he'd be the best shooter on the present roster if he returned. I gathered he sensed that and didn't want that featured role next season.

I would have been curious to see how he would have done with an actual PG like Hunter, though.

Funny thing is, Bart Torvik says he doesn't move the needle much for the Jayhawks...

The model says JCL makes KU slightly worse on offense and appreciably worse on defense. I think that is probably unfair -- doubt he can hurt them, but not sure how much he really helps them.

Compare that to putting him back on our squad for next season...

Much better on offense and slightly worse on defense.

Enough to move us from projected #203 to projected #161.

The line between teams "in the middle" of the distribution is pretty fine there, though, and I really doubt we are going to be the 200th best team in the country again next year.

Still, would have been nice to have to have at least one crack shooter.

He has to be an answer to a trivia question. I can't think of anyone else that will have played for four different D1 schools.
