BTW, most tailgating is actually done in real parking lots, not parking ramps, people's yards or small 20 car lots...and definitely not 5 miles away from the stadium by a train stop The area around the stadium is cool with the food stands and all the people, but iowa's actual tailgating is pathetic.

They have the same at KSU, but when we were at Nebraska we didn't see anything like it. There were a couple small lots very close to the stadium that were very expensive and only open to big Nebraska donors. Most people were at the bars apparently, and we just wandered around till we found some Clones parked in an alley.

Huh. that's on the other side of that freeway from Memorial, right? All we were told by anyone around the stadium was that unless you're lucky, you "tailgate" at the bars. Kind of wish we'd have known about that, although it's probably a farther walk than we had.

I wonder what percentage of hawk fans fit the classless catagory? My friends in Wisconsin and Illinois say it's a very high percentage.
