Laugh all you want. You think I'm making this **** up? You guys can't handle ISU being respected for anything, so if we ever get any props, you just laugh at it rather than take any sort of objective view. It's obviously just the opinion of a couple of guys, but until YOU'VE tailgated everywhere in the Big 12, like these guys (the Texas fans) have, you don't have room to rip on it. **** you.

Yes.

There aren't many fanbases that disrespect ISU more than Iowa, but Texas is one of them. Texas fans see ISU as a bug on the wideshield and would NEVER say they're the best in the Big 12 at anything.

Well...I've only tailgated at two Big 12 schools, Nebraska and ISU and...you guys are already beat. Guess I don't need to go to anymore to know you're not #1!

Easy there killer. Two Texas fans said ISU had the best tailgating in the Big 12, and an Iowa fan disputed it.

However, when we hear second-hand accounts from Cyclone fans that Iowa has the worst fans in the Big 10, it's supposed to be taken as gospel.

true that brother. They cant handle it once we get in the spot light or get props for doing something. I have plenty of friends like that. Im even respectful to give them props when the Hawks doing something well and then they come and shoot us down when we do something good.

The numbers may be a bit exaggerated, but his point is spot on.

I agree with his point, His numbers are way off. In 2005, they estimated somewhere around 120,000 people tailagting in Ames for the ISU/Iowa game, for example.

Your kidding right? I have heard nothing but horror stories about tailgating at Nebraska, most of them coming from Nebraska fans. You can't even drink in most of the lots...

Except these guys did. It was their 2nd trip to Ames and they said they were coming back every time. They were absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm and passion of the ISU fans, and the quality of tailgating.

You lost absolutely any and all credibility with this statement. There ISN'T tailgating in Lincoln. Everyone goes to the bar. If you REALLY think that Nebraska tailgating is better than Iowa State's, it reveals nothing but blind hatred for ISU. Most Nebraska fans admit that Ames is better tailgating than Lincoln.

Hey, just remember that when two Northwestern or Minnesota fans say that Iowa fans are the worst and most obnoxious fans in the Big 10, it's obviously true.

I wonder if those Texas fans said before or after they beat ISU by 53?

Before. And it's a lot more than 2 Minnesota or Northwestern fans that think Iowa fans are the worst in the Big 10.

That ISU team that lost by 53 did win one of their three games without scoring a touchdown...

Precisely. You're opinion is tainted with hatred for Iowa State. This is demonstrated by saying that tailgating in Lincoln is better than tailgating in Ames. There isn't really tailgating in Lincoln in the regular sense. It's like saying Iowa City has a nicer Campanielle than Ames.

These guys had no reason to hate Iowa State, or to love Iowa State. It was pretty much the definition of an objective opinion, something you don't have in this debate. Therefore their opinion IS greater...
 
A quick google search for "Worst fans in the Big 10" produced quite a few lists, polls and stories. None of which mentioned Iowa for bad fans. Shocking!
