Classless Hawk fans....

That's generally where "tailgating" occurs. You park a pickup, lower the tailgate and sit on it while grilling and drinking beer. Hence the expression "tailgating".

You didn't quite get it. Whether you park the truck in a parking lot, someone's yard, or a grassy knoll, it's all the same. I'll take the yard personally, because that usually means I get to use the bathroom in a house. The poster to whom I responded seems to think a slab of concrete is superior to a grassy surface. Not sure why. Maybe he really like porta-potties.

The athletics and academics go hand in hand...

No they don't. When deciding which college to attend the athletic program should have nothing to do with it (unless you're an athlete of course). I went to the college that had the best design program in-state. I'm not going to go to a school with a lesser program just so I can cheer on my favorite team. That's ********.

LOL! WHAT?!? Tailgating is meant to take place in a parking lot you moron.

The yards surrounding Kinnick Stadium are parking lots on Saturdays during football season. People makes thousands of dollars by opening up their yard and letting tailgaters park there.

Iowa City also has dozens of buses at games but the Magic Bus always turns into a huge dance floor on top for dozens of beautiful ladies. It's usually a very nice view!

I know you're very impressed by your intellect here, but you needed to follow the conversation. I'm not making fun of tailgating in a parking lot, even though you want me to be. I'm making fun of the idea that tailgating in a parking lot is far superior to tailgating in a yard. That's the jist of the original poster's claim.

Ahhh hell, you won't figure it out anyway so I mine as well have your conversation. Personally, I don't like tailgating in huge parking lots. I tailgate at a friends house which is maybe 2 minutes from the stadium. It's far superior to a parking lot. Electricity is a huge plus for biscuits and gravy or chilli. Bathrooms are better. And the atmosphere on the street is there if you want it. But you're probably right too. Concrete parking lots are way better than houses close to the stadium.

Don't trust everything you read on Wiki. :jimlad:

I understand that. However it is just summarizing America's general feeling on tailgating. I think if there were to be a Family Feud question that would ask "where does a tailgate for a sporting event take place?", that a vast majority of the answers would be "in a parking lot", and not one would be "in someone's yard".

I don't disagree with that but I also know people that tailgate at somebodies house and than go to the game. Now if you want to call that drinking and eating at somebodies house, that's fair but isn't that what you do at a tailgate anyway?

Once you figure out how to spell/type and grammatically structure a sentence, we can talk about intellect.

It should be noted that the majority of ISU students tailgate in a large grass field across the street from JTS and not a parking lot.

Going to one school and cheering for another's sports team and against your own classmates is hawktarded.

You mean the big grass field that people park in?! I think that would be a parking lot.

LOL. Did you just talk apostrophe smack on a message board? And sentence fragments (there's another one for you)? The "mine" is fair game, but the others are just sad. Given your inability to follow an argument maybe that is the best you got.
