CKLV Invite IS STACKED

Ech could lose in the finals in March and crabby would be in here right after that match and say “See… we should have gone with Redding!”
Looking ahead to another fun filled day in isolation watching CKLV. I did a little research on what our guys have ahead today.
133 – Evan better be ready off the bat. This Tyler Knox from Stanford was unseeded but mostly because he is a true freshman. He’s knocked of some decent guys to get to the semis. He was a 2 time national prep champ, Best of the East champ and ranked mid-30’s recruit on the big board. He looks tough, but I am completely bought in on Frost. If he wins, he’ll likely get Kai Orine in the finals who’s ranked 5th by Flo. Great test for Evan today!
141 – Ech gets Happel from UNI. Though Happel is seeded higher, I don’t really see Ech having an issue unless he gets stuck underneath for a long period, which hasn’t happened yet. A win gets him the loser of Mendez and Hardy. Based on how Mendez absolutely thrashed Cornella, I’d bet on a Hardy/Ech matchup. If he got by Brock, he’d be looking at Ryan Jack, Cornella or a rematch with McNeil. I’d love to see that rematch.
149 – Casey gets Willochel from WY who he should be able to handle. Win and likely gets #7 D’Emilio from Ohio St. He’s good, but not a world beater. Casey should have a good shot. If he gets to 3rd it would be Henson (VT) or a rematch against Parco. Again, I’d like to see that one rewound.
165 – Ramirez scares me more than Olejnik or Amine on the other side. That said, David should handle business.
174 – MJ gets Austin Murphy from Campbell who is ranked #25. He’s experienced RSSR, but MJ should have a shot. If he wins he’d likely get Wask from Navy who is similarly ranked but without the experience (RSFR). Believe it or not, I think MJ has a decent shot at the 3rd place match where he’d likely see DeVos again.
184 – Will has unranked Wolf from Air Force in the Semis. He should win handily, but…it seems Will’s style is either pin or toss up, so who knows. If he makes the finals he’ll get Keckeisen so fuggitaboutit. If he’d happen to drop to the Consos he’s looking at probably Plott from OSU which would be a tough match to get to 3rd.
285 – Griess from Navy is ranked #10 by Flo which surprised me because he’s a senior and I really don’t know much about him. Looks like he has some decent mid-range wins, but nothing to write home about. Yonger should handle business, then a big showdown with Davison from Michigan in the finals. That should be a doozy!
I’m probably really overly optimistic in this analysis, but I wouldn’t be a fan if otherwise. Looking for a great day to kick off in a few!

Speaking of which, is anyone else watching on Flo irrationally obsessed with the sloppy tape job on mat 6? Been that way for 2 days and surprised no one has tripped.
