Chris Allen tonight

Nash pushed off Chris pretty good on the last shot... Which is why it wasn't contested better

I didn't see it that way. It looked more like a good step back. If CA hadn't gone for the swipe, which got him flat footed and unable to react to the step back, he might have stayed into the shooter and contested it better.

It's not that this loss hurts our tourney chances per say, it's the fact we could easily lose our last 3 games of the regular season. If you go 1 and done at the Big 12 tourney, you are in big trouble. Especially since our entire tourney resume is dependent on what we do in conference play.

I'm confident ISU will get 1 win over either Baylor, Mizzou, or K-State but if they don't they are likely screwed. Let's beat A&M first.

Thank goodness CA showed up tonight. He was one of the few.

Probably his best game overall too.

The main issue tonight (imo), on both ends, was not having a pg. Of course a few more shots fall, and it does not matter. Ok St is a bad match-up, because they play small ball like we do, but are more athletic.

CA played great, probably should've thrown up a three at the end instead of trying to drive on an athletic freak like Nash, but for all we know that is exactly what Fred told him to do.

I'm sure Missouri is out of the tournament now, too, because they lost to OSU.

Calm down, it's not the end of the world. Okie State needed this win against us, and they got it.

This is exactly what I saw.

I agree with you here. Not a terrible team to lose to, but a terrible time to lose a game.

Point out where somebody said we are out of the tournament because of losing to Oklahoma State.

Actually yes I do. I've come to expect better posts from you but any loss at this point, especially to a lower to mid level team in our conference hurts our tourney chances. The committee doesn't look at the fact we weren't favored to win, they see that we lost to a non tournament team and in the end we'll have one less win. Most people are saying we need to get to 21 wins to have a good shot and because of this loss we'll have to win a game we will not be favored in. I have no idea how you could pass this off as not a big deal.

21 and we're in. Teams in a major conference with 21 wins don't get left out. In previous years teams with 20 haven't been left out. With our weak schedule, 20 makes us a bubble team though. 19 is a rough situation. We could get left out at that point if we're not in the top 5 in the Big 12 at that point in time.

Like I said in my last post, this hurts. But only as a loss. It won't really be viewed as a "bad loss" when it comes to tourney time. That would be Drake and UNI. A loss on the road in Big 12 play when you're not a ranked team is not terrible.

I'm disappointed because we really hurt our tournament chances.

By this horrible logic I guesss Mizzou ain't getting into the tournament either, despite them being #4 in the nation...

I appreciate the very original, but yet still hilarious, facepalm picture. Go ahead and read my other posts for clarification on what I was talking about.

I agree with every part of this.

You mean besides you?
 I was not using anywhere near the same logic as you were using when you said now Missouri shouldn't make the tournament. One more time, not a terrible team to lose to, but a terrible time to lose.

Yep I can't think of much more to say than this. This probably was his best game yet.

And back to the CA thread...

His performance in the second half was Dedric-like.

I'm a stickler for good defense and I wish he was better at that end, but I won't pee in his Wheaties tonight.

Ok awesome?
So how do you think CA played tonight? Do you think this loss hurts our tournament chances?
