Chieck Diallo rumors

I think this just proves EVERYONE has no clue what they are talking about

FIFY...

Diallo's camp has been very quiet through the entire process and most of everything said by every recruiting analyst is pure speculation even CW. I think the fact that Diallo has said so little about his recruitment people tend to over-analyze the few words he has said. ISU could be in the lead for all we know, so could Pitt, St. John's or even Kentucky. We simply do not know and haven't known the whole time.

Do I think we lead?... no. The point I'm trying to make is that all the recruiting analyst know just about as much as we do and a good majority of what they say is speculation.

Our own insiders, like Chris Williams, stated on this site that we won't be getting Diallo. I'd bet he got that information from someone "in the know" at ISU. Thus I wouldn't have blind hope in this at all.

St. John's get a big commit. Ellis is staying, so him and Bragg are likely the starters. Kentucky loses 7 players to the draft.

Kentucky bound.

And he or some other McDonalds AA will be sitting on the bench much more than they hoped.

Whole process is dumb. Why don't recruits just say "I want to go to KU if so-and-so leaves (or stays)" Or "ISU is in the lead but I want to see what Hoiberg does"

Why all the secrecy?

What's most important is: my Cyclone desires win in the face of rationality. My fan desires always override anything else. And even if I'm wrong, I will postulate and side-step until I win.

So Cheick is coming here. If he doesn't, I didn't want him here anyways and it's somebody else's fault.

Maybe they are 18, like something about all of the schools on their final list, are genuinely torn as to where they want to go and are a little uncomfortable at the thought of having to tell some of these coaches that have been recruiting them for years "No".

A lot of recruits really enjoy the attention too. Even if in reality they are only choosing between 2 schools, they will keep a few more for a top 5 so they keep getting attention.

I kinda wish he would just make a decision. It's not like there will be some magical visit or phone call that will make him change his mind at this point anyways.
