***CFB Transfer Portal 2022-23 thread***

Maybe watch out for of a flip on his younger brother if this is true. Bryce Lovett highly rated OL committed to Florida. We made his final list earlier this year

good get for us, needed some LB depth. I think he will be starting next year, or am I wrong?
He will have a good opportunity here, for sure. We lose two starters, Vance and Reeder. Vaughn may have a fairly certain chance to start. McLaughlin played a lot and may get a chance in '23. So, yeah, LB seems wide open for next year. Lovett joins a lot of other young talent, so it all comes down to who stands out. I'm sure the chance to join the top defense in the conference is attractive.

So far, we have two portal guys incoming. The RB, Harris, was a 4 star out of high school, rating of .8985. The LB, Lovett, was a 3 star, rating of .8648. Looks like Harris has 4 years yet to play, Lovett has 3.

I have to admit, our recruiting results under these new conditions are far exceeding what I had envisioned. Shame on me for doubting what our coaches could do.

Aren’t both 4 to play 4 guys? I thought both were freshman who redshirted.

Getting transfers with multiple years left is really smart by this staff. Use up their transfer and still have lots of development time. Get some highly rated guys that maybe get recruited over or lost in the shuffle at a school.
I see starting LBs of: Gerry Vaughn at Mike, Will McLaughlin at SAM, and Zach Lovett at WLB. That's not a bad trio to start, I'm very bullish on Vaughn and McLaughlin.
Imming will play some minutes too, same with Willich

Harris was a good pickup. Lovett is a bit more of a fall back guy that I don’t think has quite as high of a ceiling as other options, but those other options weren’t coming to fruition. There are some OL and WR candidates, but the competition is still and there is a lot more NIL involvement that could create some stiff winds.

Interested in seeing how some additional players enter the portal as bowl season progresses.

Don't sleep on Mendeszoon, Carston Marshall, or Jacob Ellis possibly cracking the starting lineup at LB too.

Sorry if posted elsewhere, but does anyone know if Mike Rose's younger brother got playing time at Stanford? Have no idea if he was or will be as gifted as Mike, nor do I know if his position was linebacker. Just curious if anyone ever followed up on him so-to-speak. `
