CF strongest man

pics/vids or i assume everyone in here is lying about their stats

People are not necessarily lying on this thread. You have to remember, the question was the max ever, not today. Believe me when I say, I could lift a lot more back when I was 21 with help from experienced S&C coaches than I could ever imagine today at 31 on my own.

That is just me though.

Just curious what your guys' thoughts are on taking protein or creatine. I lift a lot but can never gain any weight.

Senior year of high school (Ames High '99)
5'8.5", ~275 lbs (pretty fat though)
Bench: 285
Squat: 475
Clean: Don't know, didn't do them then

I have since pretty much stopped lifting, though last year I picked it up again for about 3 months and was back benching 285 and squatting 450. Oh, I also ran my fastest ever 40 in a blistering 5.8 seconds. I was fast as anybody over 2 - 3 yards, but by 5 yards I was tuckered out. Thankfully I got to block noseguards and/or tackles most of the time and didn't have to chase too many LB's. Never played college anywhere, as I knew I wanted to be an engineer and ISU was it.

The highest I got a couple years ago:

Weight: 145
Bench: 205
Squat: 300ish (don't quite remember)
Clean: 180-190

Protein is fine b/c it's a natural supplement. I would stay away from creatine, it has to many side effects. I had a friend get kidney stones once and the doctor told him it may have been caused by the creatine.

There are also supplements that are weight gainers. They have alot of protein, calories, and carbs. It's basically like an extra meal.

There are lots of skinnier guys than me here - but probably all stronger with the weights still! I have no idea on any of these because I've never paid much attention or lifted much but like everyone else the thirties and a couple kids kills the workout routine. What I know is that I used to be able to get up enough to dunk a jam ball and can barely touch the rim now... I'd prefer some explosiveness back to pushing a bunch of weight.

Some of the these numbers are very impressive though. I cant say I wouldnt like to be able to throw up 250 sometime (never done 200!)

Did you win those games?? That seems like an easy schedule back in 2008.

We won against SC West, Council Bluffs TJ in 3 quarters, and Ft. Dodge, but lost against Indianola. It was 2007 actually since it was my junior year of high school. 2008, my senior year we got those games at home, thankfully.

Johnston? Didn't you guys have a big win your senior year?

Dowling, the last game of the year, it was our first time beating dowling too. Should have made the play offs but didnt. Lost to ankeny (runner-ups by 4), actually should have been 17-14 us winning by 3, but can't change the past, and SEP by 3.

Not sure what the ratios are and I've nevcer done the math (amount of weight plus some ratio to the number of times you lifted the right?) but I would assume

Bench: 400 or so
Squat: 500 or so
Clean: Dunno what that is.

At least I can guarantee I am stronger than Geronimusclone who we have well established as a scrawny 90 lb nerd.
