Or just hire the right coach? I mean, look what is happening at Purdue almost overnight when the right coach is hired.
Any college football program, no matter the pedigree, can't survive the wrong coach. Alabama went south with Mike Shula. USC, Texas, OU, Michigan, etc. etc. all suffered when the wrong HC was selected.
Riley was just the wrong hire.

I agree with this 100%.

I was as very suprised and skeptical about Riley from day 1. The hire never made sense and isn't working. Nebraska is still a big name and deserves better.
