Cameron Lee

He had acouple of offers from D2 schools, but with his grades he felt he should be in a good academic setting. Playing in the Big 12 was icing on the cake!!! His coaches loved him because he always had good Defense, and a good attitude. He also is an offensive machine, BUT he also listens to the coach alot. All he needs is the coach to say "Cameron if u have a good look take the shot." You'll see his other side if he is given the opportunity to shoot without fear of being taken out if he misses!!!

i hope he does start shooting, i wanna see what cameron can bring to the table

Copenhagen:

ever heard of Jeff Hornicek?

geesh.

-keep.

Re: alot of bi-polar hypocrites

I thought it was terrible if a walkon played much or could even start, that it would mean McDermott was the worst recruiter in history, and we wouldnt win more than 3 games games. Now everyone is praising and cheering on a walkon. Which is it?

Ha! That all depends on the walk-on, how he is playing, how the team is doing, etc. The opinion on that changes with the wind.

You could make the point that, if we have great walk-ons, McDermott is a genius for being able to get talented kids to play without a scholarship for us.

Re: alot of bi-polar hypocrites

Does it enthrall you to have such diarrhea of the fingers? I mean seriously, I've never seen anyone constantly call the fans out like you do - ever.

Almost every single one of your posts are slamming at least one or two fans - most a large group.

Get a grip...

The same could be said for you too, at times. Just saying...

I appreciate it, but there is no need to call anyone out on the subject. Why not just let it lie? If Haluska comes out and drops 20 on Baylor, then maybe a few 'I told you so' s might be in order, but until then people have the right to change their minds.

Weeee...this should be fun!

I don't recall ever calling our fanbase a bunch of bi-polar hypocrites...do you?

We just don't like when everyone acts like we are going to the tourny when we have two walk on's starting before the season starts. I don't think you will see something like that at North Carolina or and other BCS school for that matter. Walk on's are good to have on your team. Remember Jeff Hornacek played in 1986. It's now 22 years later and I ask you to name a great walk on that we have had since then. Cam Lee is playing good ball. Let's not get all crazy here though. He is still a walk on who is playing his hardest. I don't think at this point in Cam lee's carreer that Russel Robinson, Mario Chalmers, DJ augustine and the rest of the Big 12 guards are shaking in there shoes.

Look I hope Lee continues to improve. It's good he is going to push Garrett. It's good he will push Buckley next year and every other guard. The reality is if we go into every season with a bunch of kids that could not earn a scholly at any other school. WE are screwed.

I agree and very well put.

ok, ok, i will pass around the peace pipe

even to isufan22, it is nice to see another contributer to the team, especially as a walk on.

I agree for the most part. But you never know where you could find the next great talent. A lot of people get overlooked in athletics and then come to find they are amazing...Michael Jordan is always a good example of this. Even more close to home, look at Wes. The reason Wes came to ISU was b/c he knew Coach P. He was not being recruited by other schools at all. So if it weren't for him knowing Coach P, he would have ended up playing at some D-2 school or Juco. And look at him now!

I'm with ya 13...I think the point KN is making is that if were constantly scouring the walk-on wires to find our next starter or two - we're not going to reach the destinations our AD/coaches/fans want for this program.

Speaking of Walk Ons, how do you justify playing Sean during the Big Xll part of the schdedule with numbers like this:
FGA/FGM: 8-40 3FGA-3FGM: 0-25

Michael Jordan is always a good example of this.

Yeah Michael Jordan's story is a little bit messed up. He got cut from the Vasity his SOPHMORE year. Not his senor year.

Michael Jordan was offered a scholly to North Carolina. Not exactly the underdog school. It's not like North Carolina and Drake offered Mike. By the time he was a senor in high school he was a complete stud. Kind of like me.

Did you mean Duke? Drake offering isn't exactly impressive...

No actually I meant Drake. What I was saying is he was offered by all the top schools. It's not like North Carolina was the only big school to offer him.
