To be fair, the fact that the bar is set so low right now due to the underachieving front court guys ahead of Lard gives him an outside chance. But that's only one half of the equation. Prohm is not going to throw the kid out there just because hey, how much worse can he be? Lard's going to have to earn Prohm's trust, and considering how hard it is to not only make the leap from AAU or high school ball to Big 12 ball but to do it on an accelerated schedule, it'll be an uphill battle for him.
I guess I'm taking a wait and see approach. If he practices well and Prohm feels like he's earned PT, great. If he's raw as hell and not ready to help this year, well, he can contribute next year and no harm done.
