Bubu

Getting betrayed by a university you love must have sucked. Good luck Bubu, I wish you the very best with McDoormat.
Or maybe he wasn't betrayed and really did it but the case was dismissed when the prosecutors tapered with evidence. Nobody is really going to know. I don't know why so many are so quick to say that everybody is a big meanie that is out to get Bubu.

Imagine whatever "maybe's" you want, but the facts are the girl called BuBu from the bars instead of her boyfriend. We know the girl lied to the county attorney and tampered with evidence. We know the charges were dropped and BuBu has always been a good kid and honor student who has never been convicted of anything. He's always maintained his innocence of the charges and there is no reason not to believe him. I just don't get why some still wanted to punish him, and his 2nd suspension from the team was a joke.

What you don't seem to understand is that you are innocent until proven guilty in this country. Whether he actually did it is largely irrelevant. There is little to no proof that he did do anything wrong and therefore should not be punished. While everyone is entitled to their opinion about what happened that doesn't mean they can punish him.

I compare it to Casey Anthony. Do I think she did it. Yeah most likely but there were so many bs stories that there was no way to prove it. Is it ideal that you have people like her getting away with stuff no but I'd much rather they get off then have innocent people in jail.

Do I think he did it no. Are you entitled to think he did it yes (even though I think thats silly). Should he be punished then no.

Or we could stick with the facts and Bubu was screwed.

Plain and simple if he was to be booted, he should have been booted in the first place instead of being reinstated after serving his suspension.

No reason to kick him off the team after the new year started and it was too late for him to transfer or us to give his scholarship to Amardi.

Nothing new surfaced.

Gibbs was a much different situation than Bubu. He missed one year with an injury, then was injured and could not have played during the transfer year that he sat out. Bubu - zero years missed with injury, Gibbs 2 years missed with injury (with one injury year also a transfer).

Although the criminal case was dropped and the university's case was overturned, it seems rather unlikely that the NCAA would rule in favor of him when the president of his university found him guilty of violating the student conduct guide, particularly when it was related to an alleged violation of sexual misconduct.

Can you imagine the headline: "NCAA gives 6th year to athlete found guilty of sexual misconduct."

I thought 2013/14 was his 4th year? Like Dougie?

Is he applying for a waiver to transfer because of the whole big mess this year?

He is really older than Doug by a year. It will be his 6th year. He will be a Doctor by the time he is done playing basketball..

I think you're guilty of not using proper punctuation! It would have made your statement so much easier to read.

I would imagine it will look something like these:

Alright, don't let me derail all of you conspiracy theorists.

Technically you're the conspiracy theorist considering the U.S. Justice system (which I'm guessing is way more credible than you) never ruled him guilty and you believe that he is...

While I can understand appreciate the discussion of 'would he transfer/where?'...at this point, discussion of whether he did it or not is really:

is it not?

I was refering to everyone believing Pollard and Leath knew nothing and are out to get Bubu theory but whatever.

If they knew something they should have acted on it a hell of a lot earlier than they did. The judge sure didn't seem to think they knew anything either.

So do you guys think he will be on scholarship next year since we have two open? (hope I don't need the jimlad)

If McKay has to sit out a semester for practicing with Marquette, wouldn't Bubu too, in which case his battle to get back on the team but not play seems weird?

Bubu's a graduate though, so he wouldn't need to sit out at all. I'm really excited to see what he looks like as a player.

So he will take one of the open scholly's you think?

Do you really believe JP and Leath knew something about the case that the county attorney, appeals law judge, and district judge didn't? If they knew something more about a criminal case and didn't report it, they would be breaking the law. In fact Leath hadn't even talked to the parties involved as the county attorney and judge did, he just went off the transcripts he received from the appeals judge. If you really believe JP and Leath had some secret info that nobody else knew, you're the conspiracy theorist. Read what the district judge had to say about Leath's handling of the case. It's an embarrassment to ISU only made worse by JP and Leath's childish statements to the press.
