Bryce Dejean-Jones is a Cyclone

Re: Bryce Desean Jones is a Cyclone

Welcome to Cyclone country Bryce. National Title is the goal and you can make it happen.

Re: Bryce Desean Jones is a Cyclone

This is pretty awesome, should put as a top 10 team to start the year right?

Starting lineup

Morris
Jones
Nader
Hogue
Niang

Bench: McKay, Long, SDW, Custer, Edozie

Very very solid.

I can see BDJ playing some 3 with Thomas at off-guard. We really don't know if Nader is Big 12 ready.

Nader is B12 ready from what I've heard. Definitely a dynamic offensive player. I do agree though that you'll see plenty of times where Monte, BDJ and either Naz or Thomas are on the court together at the 1-3.

This should be a really good 3 point shooting team with Monte, Georges, Naz, Thomas, BDJ, Nader and even Hogue having the ability to hit multiple 3's in most games.

What's great about this team, is that when McKay is in the fold, we can play small or big (big'ish) for the most part. We'll never have a really big line up unless the Greek is the real deal, but Monte, BDJ, Nader/Hogue, Niang and McKay is a fairly tall line up.

Most teams don't have that kind of depth or versatility to match all of our combos.

Nader's one of my favorites I really think people are under estimating him and hell be a pleasant surprise for some.

Bump.

I'm not worried about BDJ not buying into Hoiball anymore.

@ChrisMWilliams: Biggest surprise of preseason according to Matt Abdelmassih: “How unselfish Bryce Dejean-Jones is.â€￾ #Cyclones #CFRadioOnKXNO

I'm excited about it and I think Hoiberg will definitely work it out and get him to buy in but what else would they say?

Another interesting tidbit from the CF Radio show:

Nader is at 240 lbs. Don't sleep.

Literally anything else? He wasn't asked a question directly about BDJ. He was asked his biggest surprise about the whole team. There are probably tens of other things he could of said.

I mean it's definitely like a top 3 concern going into the year from the outside.

I'm just saying if you were worried before and this calms you, I think that's stupid.

If Fred brought him in, I'm not worried. I don't need coach speak on the radio to confirm that.

I can't think of many nuggets of info the coaches have leaked to the media or said directly in interviews that haven't come to fruition.

If they are impressed with BDJ's ability to buy in, look out because the talent was never the question with him.

Buying in to what we do and executing what we do are a bit different. The concerns over the former were minimal IMO. BDJ has a good mid-range game and he has used it often in the past- I think both the "system" and player will meet in the middle. He is going to be exciting to watch.

Anyone know how much weight BDJ has put on? I remember awhile back Matt said something along the lines of if he puts on 20 lbs no one in the nation will be able to stop him after saying he was taller and quicker than Kane.

I'm thinking that we end up with 6 players averaging double figures next year.

Niang - 18+ ppg
Hogue - ~15 ppg
BDJ and Nader - ~12 ppg
Morris and Long - ~10 ppg

the wild card is McKay, he could cut into a couple of those players, I think most likely Nader, but who knows.
