Breaking news - Tebow to skip SR. year.

I actually thought this one was funny. I can't wait till Bradford signs a 100 million dollar contract in the NFL and Tebow is cut from his 3rd team in 4 years. It will let the T.V. people eat a little crow.

sigh....one thing has nothing to do with the other...and don't recall and T.V. people saying he would be a great pro.

even if he does get cut in the pros (and most don't really care)....he will still be one of the top 5 players ever to play in the NCAA.

and most would sell their mamas to have a player like that play here.

Very funny but I do not understand all the hate directed at Tim Tebow. If anything you should hate the media for being too lazy to dig up a story on someone else and continualy overhyping a hand full of players. I challange anyone to say they would not want him on their team. HE is a young man with a lot of talent and leadership qualities.

I actually found it to be directed at the media. I'm pretty sure the announcers of the Orange Bowl needed a fresh set of boxers after calling the game.

Perhaps the most vile and disgusting post I have every read

Go read the Hawk boards and how they are going to win the National Title every year. That is more vile and disgusting than this.

People hate guys like Tebow because they're not him and they'll never be him. But they'd love to have his success.

I think Tebow is a great guy and pretty darn good QB (not the best, but one of the best). But I myself, am sick of the homerism the media has for him. I think some people dislike him just because of the blind love the media has for him.

Really. Your saying Wow to that. That was really nothing. Let's go ahead and save the word WOW for things that deserve it.

Things like

O.J. killed his wife.... Wow.
Iowa State beat Oklahoma in Football.... Wow

we can go from here.

Agree...the original post is as much of an attack on the media as it is Tim Tebow.

I agree, media's man crush on Tebow is the issue. He genuinely seems like a nice kid, so doesn't deserve the backlash because of the media. I actually thought the quick running back had as much impact on the NC game as he did, but that doesn't discount the fire he plays with. A QB is essential, but he doesn't win by himself...ask Seneca the difference in O-lines his two years at ISU. Too much praise and too much blame.

MIAMI (SP) -- Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national
championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim
Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend
directly into heaven.

Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24-
hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman
winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the
podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters
fainted.

"Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with
cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal
him."

"I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University
of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great
honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to
clear that up right now," he continued.

"Don't go, Tim!" a reporter shouted from the back of the room.
"After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at
the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven," Tebow
announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a
blinding white light and vanished.

In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long
tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will
feature Tebow highlights (including home videos of Tebow's childhood),
re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air
personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the "most
Tebow-like" person in America.

"He wasn't just the greatest player in college football history," said
a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming
down his face. "He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on
earth."

I very much dislike Tebow. I absolutely have no desire to be him. I don't know why people assume someone is jealous just because they dislike someone else.
