Brave beer drinkers?

I've tried it on tap, but not in the bottle.

It was served WAY too cold, and WAY too carbonated, but after it warmed up and the CO2 went away, it's a very alright amber ale. If I closed my eyes, that first sip tasted just about like Bud heavy with a hint more hops.
Nothing exciting, really, but if it's between that and Bud or Bud light, I'd take it. You won't mistake it for a really good beer, but it's certainly tolerable.

I'd say the Beer Advocate rating is about right.

I'm hoping the bottle fixes some of the issues I had with it on tap.

That seems like a cool site! Thanks. Hadn't come across that before. Also thanks for the input regarding the Bud Ale.

It is an awesome site if you like beer. They also have a VERY good print magazine that I HIGHLY recommend if you're into beer. It's got general brewing news with an emphasis on craft breweries, some homebrewing info, a few beer reviews (maybe 10-12), some awesome recipes (a couple months ago was trappist beer hamburgers....), and interesting profiles on different beer styles from time to time.

I am bringing the left over Schlitz we had for softball season. Our pitcher had a stupid idea that if someone hit into a DP or hit an HR for an out, you had to drink a Schlitz after the game. I think he's been hit in the head too many times. Anyway, I swear on the last drink, you get a few metal shavings from the can. Not good at all.

We do the same thing with Hamms in bowling if you have three open frames in a row... But you have to drink it out of one of these...

I prefer to drink Miller Lite at parties and tailgates. It's the one beer that I can still enjoy and drink all day long. Believe me, if I'm sitting around to enjoy a beer, I always pick up something with more body to it. I can't slam Miller lite though. It's true what they say, it's less filling and I like the fact that I don't feel like I've had too many after drinking 6 of them.

I'm just a beer fan. Period. I will drink anything from the Beast on a hot summer day to a Guinness on Tuesday. Natty Light on game day. I'm all about the seasonal stuff though- try Leinenkugel's Octoberfest- just had it for the first time and it's good. Rivals Sam Adams Octoberfest.

As for the worst ever- Gluek Ice. From Minnesota. Leaves a film on your toungue. Tastes like meat.

I think it is funny when people order corona and pay import prices for it.

I think it's even funnier when you have to mask the taste by adding a lime to it. Don't get me wrong, if you gave one to me, I'd drink it. I'm a beer drinker, but please, don't add the lime.

I'm not saying Corona is "all that", but name an alternative beer with a similar taste you'd rather order at a Mexican restaurant?

I rarely drink beer when I’m out so I'm far from an expert, but I like a Corona with a lime when I eat Mexican. I'm all ears (seriously) for smarter alternatives.

Try Sol, it's a lot better, imo.

Any idea if you can get this in Iowa?

Not sure. I think I've seen it at Hy-Vee w&s, but not sure. Let's just say I haven't been keeping an eye out for it. I had it when a friend that had been in MN for work offered me a beer. "That was nice" I thought, until I saw the 12 pack with one beer missing. I forced it down that day, but 6 months later, that 12 pack was still there with 10 left.

Dos Equis is much better IMO

I personally like Schlitz. At least it has some character....

That's what diet coke is for...

Worst beer I've personally had is this.
followed closely by this.

I'm sure there are much worse ones out there, but those are the two worst I've ever tried.

Gluek Ice gets impressively bad reviews, though!

Actually, the whole brewery appears to make really awful beer.
