Yes. Alabama has done nothing special to prove they are the #2 team in the country. They have done as much as OSU and yes, their one loss is to a better team. However, their overall resume does not even compare. The CBS online poll without the team names says it all...

Big XII is loaded from #1-8 and TT was no slouch early in the year. SEC has 5 great teams but has a lot of crap at the bottom...

If the first game doesn't really count, then why does the 2nd? Let's just declare the SEC's top 2 teams as #1-2 in the nation and not even bother with the National Championship. It costs so much money to put on and really is just a big hassle. 4 BCS bowl games were easier than 5...

If the BigXII gets two teams, and the Twitter stuff is actually true (don't hold your breath), I think it will happen! BigXII won't help Mizzou and aTm doesn't have a coach.

If they only get one in, we will be at-large.

Well, if this is true, the last 2 BCS spots will be between Michigan, Kansas State, Virginia Tech and Boise State

the holiday bowl would be AWESOME. anywhere warm would be AWESOME. bowl games are AWESOME. AWESOME!!!!!!

Saragin ratings are out...its going to come down to the wire with TCU on if they make the top 16. Houston was absolutely CRUSHED by Saragin in the loss.

Houston from #8 to #26
Oklahoma from #6 to #6
Georgia from #14 to #11 (a loss to LSU actually moved them up in the computers eyes)
Michigan State from #20 to #25
TCU from #19 to #19
Clemson from #23 to #18

It appears the computers are going to crush Houston for their loss. They may fall below TCU. It appears Oklahoma and Georgia will be safely above TCU tomorrow, as the computers aren't going to ding them at all for losing. Its going to be close to see if MSU can hang on or Clemson can jump TCU. We'll have to see what the pollsters say tomorrow.

Please, please let the Holiday Bowl be correct.

It would be a freaking crime if the Big 12 didn't get 2 teams in the BCS. Hell, you could make an argument that 4 Big 12 teams are more qualified then a lot of the BCS schools.
 
And collegefootballnews.com also has ISU going to Holiday Bowl with 2 Big 12 teams in BCS (OSU NOT in NCG).
 
Does the Harris & Coaches poll get released as they become available during the afternoon like usual? I can't remember if they did something different beings it was the final week...

If they do become available I have my spreadsheet I calculated last night ready to input values, should be able to easily project whether or not Oklahoma State makes the National Championship.

Since the situation with the BCS is so fluid, you won't hear a thing until the Big 12 knows if we get 1 or 2 teams. That will probably be a bit before they release the final rankings later tonight.
 
I'd love to see ISU in the Holiday bowl. I don't think I'll be able to swing $500 airline tickets this year though.

And there isn't even an option (at least that I have found) for a cheaper flight with alternate departure or arrival. I guess it's time to go ALL IN!
