Bowl Situation Thread

What about the human factor in the bowl choices? What if a bowl jumps someone like they did with Missouri two years ago?

I am speaking only about TCU making the top 16. If that happens we can kiss the Holiday Bowl goodbye.

I'm good with either of those, but prefer Holiday.

ESPN is a bunch of idiots anyway

I could go for Dallas (although I'm pretty sure that one's out since Houston lost right?)

As far as San Fran - One of the lowest tier bowls against a 6-7 team? No interest whatsoever in that one.

And yes, ESPN is a bunch of idiots.

Those are 2 separate things entirely.

It use to be top 12 to be an atlarge selection. They moved it to 14 to give a few more spots so the bowls had a little freedom to take their choice not take someone they had to. The only reason you have a non AQ team in now is because the BCS tried to elimante a lawsuit by the non AQ teams. Your going to have to give the non AQ a little more option to get in that's why its top 16 and ahead of a bcs champ. its top 14 I believe if they are not ahead of a auto bid

Anyone who has a b12 team in ticketcity is a freakin idiot. That bowl doesnt have open spots and hasnt ever.

It really is hillarious. They didn't listened to the fact that TicketCity was impossible 3 weeks ago.

They don't care that it's even more, concrete, without a shadow of doubt impossible now.

If I had credits, I'd go all-in on a (serious) thread being posted within five minutes of the Bowl announcement titled: "What happened to the TicketCity Bowl?"

We may not know til the selection show. The Harris poll sounds like it's not being released til BCS Selection Show. So there is no way to know about K ST and TCU.

BCS Selection Show 7:15
Bowl Selection Show 8:00
Both on The Mothership

Where i'm sure they'll be sure to say "no doubt that Alabama is clearly the second best team". Despite having nothing to back that up. I can understand if they might think it, but there is no way its at all clear.

If TCU isn't in top 16 I wonder if KSU or Baylor gets that 2ns bid. Id like to see a Clemson vs Baylor Orange and Michigan vs WVU sugar

Just because the Harris Poll isn't made public before the selection show doesn't mean the bowls wait until then to make selections.

The powers that be will know and some bowl locations will start to leak.
