I think Mizzou is gonna be on the outside of the Big 12 bowls. They don't travel, they've had a bad year compared to the past few years, and the they are leaving the conference. ISU to Pinstripe should be the worst possible scenario.

I would put it at a better than 50/50 that the Big 12 gets two teams in the BCS, therefore leaving open 6 bowl spots for the remaining 6 teams.
There is an order in which the secondary affiliates make their selections. Kraft Fight Hunger comes after some of the other ones. BBVA Compass, New Mexico, and Beef'O'Brady's pick first if they have openings, then the Kraft Fight Hunger and the TicketCity if there are still teams available.
I just can't see a senario where this happens.
-Alabama is guaranteed an at large
-If Houston loses, TCU will be guaranteed an at large since they'll finish ahead of the Big East champ
-Stanford will get an at large
-That leaves one open spot. Even if OU beats OSU, the bowls will take Michigan over a 2 loss OSU team every time.
No, not really. Bowl officials take Michigan over KSU every single time. All they see is dollar signs floating down from the Big House in Michigan.
Our only hope for 2 Big 12 BCS teams is if OSU wins and the voters jump them over Alabama. About a 15% chance of happening IMO.

All about the $$$. That is what conference realignment is all about. You don't take the best athletic department available, but you take the ones that bring in the most money. That is why A&M and Mizzou were so hot to the SEC. Two .500 programs...
Michigan is currently ranked #15 in the BCS standings, I assume you think they will make it into the top 14? As per BCS regulations a team must be in the top 14 to be selected as an at-large team...
So what bowls will end up with open spots before their secondary agreements assuming things play out next week as expected (BCS bids to Bama, Stanford, Houston, Michigan)...and assuming a 6-7 UCLA team is granted a waiver to go bowling.

2 C-USA bowl games...nobody is for sure on which two will be available, but the assumptions are

Yeah...I'm figuring that LSU beats Georgia so they'll move up 1 spot to make the magic #14 spot, just making them eligible.
Anybody who claims they know at this point is lying. My prediction is
7 wins = Holiday
6 wins = Nienas calls Pollard and asks if he'd rather go to the Pinstripe or have a choice of one of the open bowls...If he turns down the Pinstripe they send Mizzou there.
Pretty much. Mizzou goes to the at-large pool. ISU or Mizzou for Pinstripe is a no brainer.

Did you see UCLAs home crowd when they played Texas earlier this year? They play in the rose bowl and there were literally more Texas fans than UCLA and it was UCLAs home game! I can't even imagine how many of their fans will make the trip to a bowl game.
Perhaps, but with Michigan having no games remaining I think they are left too vulnerable to movement around them and don't make the top 14. Wouldn't surprise me if a team like Baylor can win next week against Texas to jump over them, the computers favor Baylor by a large margin and if voters even move them to within a spot or two Baylor would pass them up.
I agree. It will be interesting though, because the human poll will love Michigan because they beat THE Ohio State, but the computers will love Baylor because they know the B1G blows. It will be a shame if the B1G gets 2 BCS teams.
Our Holiday Bowl chances took a shot. We need Texas to beat Baylor so hopefully the Alamo takes Texas and then we need to beat KSU for the Holiday to have a choice between ISU, Baylor, Mizzou, or A&M. That gives us the best chance to be selected out of that group. IF the Holiday picked us that would probably put and 8-4 Baylor in the Texas Bowl over A&M. Mizzou to the Pinstripe and A&M to the Ticket City.
If we beat KSU and Baylor beats Texas, then Baylor will go Alamo and the Holiday likely picks Texas and we are relegated to Pinstripe or Ticket City as I think A&M would get Texas Bowl over us.
