Bowen at the Combine

I would rather see him in a broncos uniform but maybe that is cause I am a bronco fan.

This is a little of the subject, but what is his little brother going to be doing now? Is he going to follow Ace wherever Ace goes to work? Is he going to go back with his mother? I would have to guess well need 33 to answer this question, but if anybody else could answer that would be great.

Jamar is back in New Jersey until Ace gets settled down with all of this training and draft process. He will most likely be in NJ until Ace can get his NFL career in a straight direction and then will probably move back in with him. Both guys loved it in Iowa, and they will be around here at times.

I hope that he can come next year during a bye week or something and we can honor him with something. Like did he ever get anything for leading the nation in tackles per game?

Especially for someone who is undersized anyway. Usually guys who are undersized are at least really fast to help make up for some of it :dull:

It may hurt his status now but I am confident that he will catch on somewhere. I have yet to see a play where a guy strips into his street clothes and sprints 40 yards. His other performances illustrate some of his overall athleticism a little better.

AB will get some tryouts, but sincerely doubt any team will risk a draft pick on him. I still think he could be a special teams assassin somewhere, but needs to be the right fit or he is looking at CFL/NFL Europe or putting his degree to use.

Oh no doubt. I wish Alvin the best of luck and I really hope he catches on somewhere. It would have helped a little bit if he had run a faster time. Someone who is THAT good can't possibly go unnoticed for long.

XFL almost, remember HE HATE ME!:biglaugh:

Neon Deion Sanders and co. were talking today at the combine about how worthless the 40 is. He said they should only run a 20 yards dash to see explosiveness. They said if your running 40 yards on defense, you're in trouble.

Teams do look at splits - 10 and 20 yards.

The 40 has, for whatever reason, become a point of fascination among fans. I'll admit to it as well. It doesn't really hurt anything, but it's definitely not the best tool for analyzing a player.
