Boffeli a Cyclone

We spoke with him last night. After the interview, I came away feeling pretty confident that ISU was going to be his pick, and posted as much on my site last night. I think the opportunity to get a look at TE was one of the reasons.

According to the Register story, he is simply happy to be committed to Iowa State and didn't seem that concerned about the position. Heres the story>

Conor Boffeli made a decision today to play football for Iowa State.

The West Des Moines Valley High School senior will let Cyclone coaches find a position for him.

At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds, Boffeli could develop into a tight end or move over to the offensive line.

Glad to have this guy aboard. Sounds like he could be a solid pick-up. As said I like to see the hometown boys pick the good guys.

Jon, Running the risk of having my fellow Cyclone fans accuse me of brown-nosing you, I just wanted you to know that the ONLY reason I keep Media-Com is to watch "State of the Nations" as I really enjoy you and Steve Deace go at it. BTW, I understand you are from West Branch. Herbert Hoover is my 8th cousin.....

Also wanted you to know that after the Pierre Pierce debacle I didn't watch the Hawkeyes for that BB season as my own protest to the bungling of its handeling. My wife graduated HS with Bob Bowlsby and I was truly disappointed. Needless to say, It looks like I won't be watching the Hawkeyes this year either as more and more evidence gets out. Thanks again for doing your best however.... Cedar Rapids

Who was the last Valley player that actually performed well on the field at ISU? Maybe they need to get more Ankeny kids.

who was the last ankeny kid?
the only d.m. school that contributes good players is dowling i.e. tyson smith all of roosevelts guys go to juco or come one year do good then go juco (see collins eboh)

Jon trying to spin something to make Iowa look better, never. Dont forget KF is a great and can do no wrong. The lack of commits is no big deal after they go 10-2 and to the Rose Bowl the commits will roll right in. One thing I thought Iowa was short players yet they are only going to sign 15 this year, did I miss something somewhere.

While that is true. EIU isnt that bad. they actually have a decent program it just isnt as big of a deal over there. (i am not choosing sides here, just saying)

I take issue with this. I was in the engineering college as a grad student and I can unequivocally say there is absolutely no comparison to the engineering college at Iowa State. The engineering college at Iowa was horrible and staffed with professors that didn't care while teaching a grad school curriculum that was covered as a sophomore undergrad at Iowa State. Maybe it has improved since I attended, but I concluded that they should just close the doors in Iowa City. It was that worthless.

who cares about stars ? he may be a 10 star by the time chizik and his coaches coach him.meybe he will be a great end that is one great blocker and is a great tight end with soft hands and break all kinds of records at isu. he may develop into a lamaak and become a great interior linesman for iowa state.
he is a good get and i congratulate chizik and fountain keeping him away from EIU and k.ferentz.connor welcome to the cyclone state!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
