And I think the scandal was another reason, just as I'm guessing it was for the other Valley HS recruit who just de-committeed from the Hawkeyes.

Ferentz must be feeling some pressure on the recruitment front with only 1 commit for next year. INDIANA has 15 commits right now!

Apparently they now have 2 commits with Jordan Cotton jumping on board. Even with him, they are very far behind the remaining big 10.

Again, who really cares about stars? Just because he's a 2 star doesn't mean that he's not going to be good. He prolly fits real well into what Chizik is implying. I don't care if he is a 4, 3, or 2 star as long as he gives 100% while he's here and stays out of trouble. Some 2 stars perform better than 4 or even 5 stars.

I'd put my money on a team of 4stars vs. a team of 2stars every time. We can all rave about how Chiz is a great judge of horseflesh and the worlds best coach, but in the end if it doesn't show up in the W/L column it doesn't mean squat. Truth is we have to make noise with low-rated recruiting classes. Don't know if thats feasible longterm.
