Boffeli a Cyclone

Who cares about all that crap? He is good enough that Chiz offered him early in the process. We're lucky to have him and I'm very excited about it. I think I'll trust Chizik's judgment on the recruiting trail until he gives me a reason not to.

Go read Fedderson's story. In the first answer Bofelli gave to him, playing TE vs just the line option was one of the first things Connor talked about.

First off, I believe Fedderson has a hawk lean and if I remember right, has admitted as much. Second, the first thing mentioned when asked why he picked ISU were the coaches, where the program was going and the atmosphere. The next reason was playing TE. Of course, hawk fans need a reason why he would pick ISU that allows them to swallow it easier. I guess it is just funny to me why the first thing out of your mouth for the show was playing TE. Why can't you just say that he picked ISU over iowa and leave it at that?

I am pretty excited about Bofelli. I have heard from multiple people including some that have played with him that he is the real deal.

Also don't think he will stay at TE. I think he will get a shot and than redshirt to put on weight and turn into a lineman.

I'm just hoping that he plays tight end, one of our games is on national television and Keith Jackson is calling the game.

"Whoa nelly, there goes Boffeli!"

unfortunately jackson sticks to the west coast :skeptical: (enjoy his commentary) so wed get the pleasure of "ol' mush mouth" (mushberger) saying something stupid ... yikes

We spoke with him last night. After the interview, I came away feeling pretty confident that ISU was going to be his pick, and posted as much on my site last night. I think the opportunity to get a look at TE was one of the reasons.

Wow, that was about as typical of a hawk response as you'll find. 'he did it because at Iowa he would have to be a tackle'.

Don't you think it's more likely that he doesn't want to be part of the Iowa City Gridiron Gang?

I guess I don't see a problem with what he said. He talked to the man last night; it's not like it is second hand information. He mentioned another interview that had a quote that seemed to further back up his claim.

Would you get pissed if someone said that a big reason Bates came here was because we told him he'd have an opportunity to be a QB? I don't care why they came here as long as we're not doing anything unethical.

boffelli is a huge guy he is pretty muscular and i believe he did not participate in the isu camp because of an ankle injury per his aau bball coach see the dave barrent thread and seriously he's only 16?!
