Bo Williams

I'm going to assume to know Justin, I played golf with him at the begining of last summer, really nice guy. I only met him that one day on the course though.

Yeah I'm friends with him, lived with bunch of his buddies freshman year in Birch.

Just think not only will we have arob and mr X but Mr schwartz will probably be coming off a redshirt with something to prove I don't see why we just don't field a team or running backs direct snaps all day if its good enough for playstation victories its good enough for me! :biglaugh:

i think he will be playing FB.. and i think he is one of our best gets so far..

What is JJ Bass' situation? Nobody seems to talk about him next year.

i think he will split some time with ARob.. injury just killed him this year.. and ya.. i think alot has forgotten about him.. but its so early to even to pencil ppl in right now.. right now if i had to guess tho he will be a back up..

im starting to wonder if we should be using some wish bone.. with 3 rb sets..

Im thinking single wing offense would look real nice... Bo would be a great spinback, JJ would be great at tailback, and A Rob has the quickness for wingback...

Bass and williams wont play together, williams will be eligable after bass is gone, but it would be a pretty sweet idea

If i were pulling the strings... Id redshirt JJ Bass this year, Let him get into the system more, let A Rob mature another year with Scales as well. Put Jason Harris back to RB give him some shots, and have Bass, Williams and A Rob for our 2009 campaign for the Big 12 championship.

JJ Bass had a shoulder injury after the Toledo game and never fully recovered, We saw what he could do, we know he is also an amazing RB. But we never really let off when he was Injured, Scales proved to be solid, A Rob proved to be elusive and solid as well. I think if Bass comes in healthy this year he will get substantial playing time and give us a glimpse of how Bo Williams will be, because IMO they are about the same.

4 years = 1 to sit and 3 to play.

Actually, he was hurt this year and didnt play in any games, i wouldnt be surprised if he received a medical redshirt. Sits next year for the transfer and he might be the exception of 6 to play 4. Not sure how the NCAA looks at Med. Redshirt with transfer if the medical redshirt automatically kicks in the 6 to play 4.

I hope so - Player X is a heck of an athlete and we're proud to have him on board.....these are the type of playmakers we need to threaten the defenses instead of having the defenses play ultra aggressive against us because they didnt fear anyone on our Offensive side of the ball. That will change and with that change will come scoring opportunities - too bad shaggy will be gone to help us miss a few of those scoring chances....

except against Iowa.....

Go gettem Chiz, I will wait a year to watch a stud ball player - besides, Chiz believes that most freshmen need to sit a year to get their body ready for the size and speed of big 12 football and get them in the system and by the time they have a chance as redshirt sophs. they already have had a year to absorb the play book and reads, cues, and other things that most football fans never see, but, players have know how to adjust, they can't think about it as its happening (See Kent St, UNI, Toledo games) and the more complicated the system, the more time it requires.....

give'm time....

You dont see the beauty in this KMAC,,, Bo has already had a year of strength training at UF.. Give him another year with Coach Shep, we have a monster in creation

:yes:He should be ready to play immediately when he is eligible, IMO...

Why I ignored this thread until now, I don't know. Sorry about the Iowan winter, Mr. X. I moved from South Carolina when I was 13... so I know how rough it is going from 50-60 degrees to about 10-20. Looking forward to seeing him in spring ball!

You can't get the medical hardhip until after your senior year. Sounds good though.
