Glad to see Cabanban is wrestling. Odd Kraisser got one of the 6 allocations but got the #7 seed.

Is it different in the link? The chart shows him as seven without the mark for earning an allocation with 6 available. Broderson seems really weird with it saying he earned a spot but isn't seeded.

I assume the seeding it based an conference matches, vs allocations are overall record
Yeah that makes sense. My brain is still trying to connect all the dots in this very very (not)simple allocation system. A few years of following the team more closely and I still get fairly confused this time of year. This is me every time...

Big10 and Big12 are so big now they don’t see half the teams it seems like, especially when guys aren’t wrestling any of the big tournaments. Strange how little matches they get for seeding purposes. If Redding didn’t have the biscoglia win I wonder where the hell he’d end up for seeding

Likely first round match ups

125 - unknown
131 - Redding vs Leake (CBU) - Leake pinned Redding the first go around in a dual that started at 149, so I’ll assume bad cut week for Redding.
141 - unknown
149 - Johnson vs Moore (OU) - no match ups yet
157 - Kraisser vs Gfeller (OSU) - lost 3-1 to Gfeller back in January. Should be close but don’t think Gfeller is someone that will gas out so Kraisser will have to try and score early.
165 - Carr vs Fernandes (No Co) - wouldn’t be surprised to see an unseeded guy here depending on who gets a bye.
174 - unknown
184 - Coleman vs King (SDSU) - don’t believe they’ve wrestled. Broderson lost to King 6-3 a few years back
197 - Bastida vs Bockman (UVU) - sneaky tough match up. Bockman will do nothing to try and keep it to a 1 takedown match. 5-3 match the first go around.
285 - Sammy vs Gordon (UNI) - another sneaky tough match. Gordon is quick but Sammy is good on his feet and is quite a bit stronger than Gordon. 4-1 match a few weeks ago.
