The news today about Jamie Pollard being elected President of the athletic directors group is a big deal. It's a great time to have him in that position. Its a great platform to launch a movement to save college football from more $EC/ESPN predation and I bet he's willing to use it.

The good thing about a scheduling alliance would be that we are one of the bigger big 12 draws. In the past we'd get the scraps but now we'd likely get a big name
I sense that @HFCS's conference-name suggestion is partly ironic — WAC expanded to 16 schools, was unstable, fragmented, unsustainable (in the football context).

I would imagine he is much more entertaining when you're casually watching a game for the hell of it, vs watching a game when your team is playing in it.
