What ever happened to that Ilini fan that was on here saying they would be back in the tournament this year?

For Minnesota, at a minimum I call Ben Jacobsen, and definitely Otz. I think TJ will do very well anywhere in the Upper Midwest for his next step up.

I hadn't looked in a while, but TJ is doing great, isn't he?
 
I don't get the Jacobson love. He is a good Mid Major coach, but i don't think he would succeed at a power conference level.

I am also not sold that Minnesota will fire Pitino.

I'm with you on Pitino, I am getting no indication that anyone around town expects him to be gone after this year, because of all the things that have happened. If that is right of UM fans to do, idk, but it doesn't seem like anyone expects him gone next year.

They’re having a very good year. Daum and Jenkins (TJ recruit) are a great combo.

TJ inherited a very good team and they under-performed in the regular season last year. Of course, winning the conference tournament and getting a Tournament berth makes it a resounding success.

Why would you even bring up the fact that SDSU beat Iowa in the losers bracket of the Cayman Islands tournament? Literally noone mentioned Iowa in reference to SDSU, why would you bring that up yourself?? haha

I have no shame in admitting how terrible this Iowa basketball season has been. The best way for me to cope with it is to joke about it.

So you're admitting that every time you say it is someones Super Bowl, it is actually you just joking and trying to cope with how bad your program is? Got it. I'll bookmark this for future reference.

Agree, and TJ will get a look when Minnesota fires Pitino. Lots of coaches get a looks though.
