Iowa fans have gloated for years about playing on New Years day bowl games while the best that ISU could hope for would be a Christmas bowl game. They typically left out the fact that they were playing in the 6th best Big Ten tie in game. The Big Ten has good TV viewership, that doesn't mean they were better than the 6th best PAC, ACC, or Big 12 team playing a game much earlier. Adding Rutgers and Maryland only prove that point even more.
No, not really. Pointing out bowl tie ins doesn't mean jealousy.
If you can't see adding Rutgers and Maryland for TV sets was the reason for expansion, you're crazy. Look at how hard the B1G is trying to get into those markets with the conference basketball tournaments.

Lots of good players in the Big 12. Hard to keep up with them all. Iowa has Luka Garza that will probably be an all American this year but other than that all the good players are on MSU and Purdue. Bates-Diop is okay too but not on Garza’s level.
Zach Smith was a solid player, but nowhere close to being their best.
