***Big 10 Thread***

That was my first thought as well, but look at where they're at now and their upcoming schedule. It's a joke. Short of them falling apart/remembering that they're Nebrasketball, I think he's right.

Exactly. They play one top 50 team the rest of the way and 0 tournament teams. Nebraska has 1 top 175 non-conference win and are 0-6 in tier A games. Their only good win is over Michigan at home and they don't have any regular season opportunities left. Would need to avoid any bad losses the rest of the way and hope to get a couple wins in the BTT against Michigan/Ohio St/Mich St/Purdue.

PSU's RPI is north of 100 right now. They have a lot of work to do to get in.

Correct. I said "something crazy" which we'll say is synonymous with "a lot of work to do." They have the opportunity to improve their resume significantly though (Ohio St, @ Purdue, Michigan), Nebraska does not in the regular season.

Sshhhh don't let rholtgraves know how this stuff works. He still thinks Trae Young isn't that good because he plays in the Big 12

Can't believe a P5 team can get by with what they've "accomplished" and have in front of them and get a bid. But you know the NCAA wants that New York market and the BIG has that locked up.

I don’t need to have anything. Just arguing why I thought Nebraska would be in.
You were arguing as if it were fact right now, or at least that is how your posts were written, and that is where we disagreed.

but..

and lets move on.

Agreed. PSU has a chance to significantly improve their resume with some good wins. Nebraska has a chance to damage their resume with some bad losses.

Time for some Big 10 Women's chat. At the bar catching the Purdue/#13 Michigan game... Michigan has two free throws with 0.2 left in the game, tied at 72.

...she missed both. Feels bad. Feels really, really bad.

No. They probably only get 5 teams in. I was thinking winning percentage. If you look at Ken Pom right now the Big Ten has 3 teams in the top 15 and 2 in the top 6 and all three of those teams have top 25 offense and defense. I could see those 3 teams advancing pretty far. Where as, with the BIG 12 there are some lopsided teams where you have OU and TCU really good at offense and pretty bad defensively. Texas and Tech are good defensively and not so much offensively. I could see some of those teams getting knocked out early. Right now WVU is struggling. Of course, in a month things could look a lot different.

I can’t really take KenPom seriously evaluating the Big Ten when they’ve had Iowa 15-40 spots above ISU all season. I think we have at least 4 or 5 wins better than their best win.
