HIre Sean Snyder to be special teams coach. The guy has an office job down here today essentially rotting on the vine. He's a brilliant ST coordinator and would do wonders for ISU.

We need a new special teams coach, whoever that may be. It’s embarrassing to see us play scared instead of aggressive on special teams.
This is some next level trolling, but in all seriousness, it’s not Campbell’s style (right or wrong) to hire random individuals he has no past with.
what coach would we get rid of?
CMC has a strange structure to his coaching staff, with neither coordinator also having a position responsibility I think. Last year it was no OC, this year it was no ST coach. I don't think that they have room for another coach on the staff. Probably the best move would be to make Manning the OL coach and the OC, and hire a special teams coach.
It's almost as if the staff surrendered to not having any type of return game this year. We had 22 kick returns and 8 punt returns. Our opponents had 54 and 14, respectively. We have a number of guys who are plenty capable of being effective returners; Kene, Lang, Jones, Milton, etc. I wonder what factored into this decision? We need a new special teams coach, whoever that may be. Kene would be one of the best kick returners in the nation if he was given the chance. Special teams has been so bad that we do need to bring someone in. I'm sure there is a coach that can be replaced. I think we have two secondary coaches - one for corners and one for safeties. That's not necessary. Maybe keep McDonald and replace the other guy? It's almost as if the staff surrendered to not having any type of return game this year. We had 22 kick returns and 8 punt returns. Why would we need to get rid of a coach?
because there is a limit on the number of coaches you can have actually coaching the players
No. Kansas tried that and that is what they got turned into the NCAA for this last year (football wise not the buying BB players)Does making a coach an “analyst” get around that?
