For thanksgiving it's pumpkin or pecan, any other time of year really good apple pie is probably better.

This bakery near me has some pumpkin muffins I've been giving into about twice a week all fall.

Nobody has mentioned it, in part because you can't buy it here (but you can sure make it yourself), and that is plum (or Christmas) pudding. Not well known here; it is more a British thing. But for pure effect, turn out the lights and flame it with brandy and the kids go crazy. Douse it with hit buttered rum sauce and serve. Yum.

But frankly, I'm a fan of all of the choices on the list, although apple pie is my strongest weakness!

This thread is exciting.

Voted Apple, but I have a special place in my heart for Village Inn French Silk Pie.

I understand but never really get the pecan pie hate. I am convinced there’s a group of people somewhere that have made a batch of bad pecan pies that have tainted the world and slandered the dessert’s name. If you’ve ever had a good, homemade pecan pie made by a grandma, then you understand there’s little else in this world that meets that level of pure mouthgasm.

I think a lot of people hate pecan pie without ever tasting it. Just something they conditioned themselves to.
