Best places to study on campus?

Agronomy Hall has some nice areas towards the east end of the building. Big tables and really quiet. I worked for a research project when i was in school so I could go into the forage lab and study too.

I have to agree. The little rooms along the hallway on the ground floor were great for me these past two semesters!

Howe 2nd floor or basement. Then again I'm biased since I spent a lot of time in that building.

Howe 2nd floor is great.

Or go to the 1st floor ACROSS from the walkway. No foot traffic, and you're within a few minutes walk to a comp lab if you need a comp.

I always preferred the Maintenance Shop in the MU back when you could smoke in there. I don't smoke anymore, but when I was at ISU I'd always go in there to study between classes. Cup of coffee and a smoke while studying was perfect for me. It was a little noisy at times, but it didn't really bother me that much.

Hawkfan ISUalum? Welcome brother.

I liked the cafe in Gerdin. I hated studying in complete silence.
I think I own part of that cafe with the amount of money I spend in there...

The study bench things looking out at the parking garage aren't too bad either...minus being horribly uncomfortable.

If you want lots of light, there's always the former Trophy Tavern portion of the food court's eating space. It's on the west and most windows look out toward Lake Laverne and Friley. Except at meal times (and even then not so much in summer) you can pretty much sit and spread out all your stuff. Close to restrooms and food.

When I studied, it was generally at the sorority house, either in my room or the 24-hour study dungeon. I was also partial to the periodical room at the library.

Back in the day I used to study in the State Gym...if I was reading mostly and didn't need to take many notes.
My favorite place though was finding some corner in old Botany Hall.. those were the days when the building was empty and they were sure they were going to tear it down...not much lighting and heat was a little iffy at times, but it was quiet......wow..those were the days...

Not on campus but I studied a lot at Cyclone Truckstop. Coffee, a lil chicken fried steak, a lotta cigarette smoke flowing thru the air...
