Best places to go on a date?

Im confused on the LJ part....and I started a thread a couple weeks ago about this same topic, with some very good suggestions! Let me go find it

Seriously though, if money isn't an object and you really like this gal take her to Aunt Maude's for dinner. Quiet nice restaurant with the right atsmosphere. Walk along Main Street if it's nice out from there for nie conve, and if your of age stop by one of the local establishments there for a nightcap. My personal fave was always Whiskey River, but I'm a townie. Try the Old Main Brewery or Tap House.

The LJ reference was due to the 1st post being by maizenblue while the rumors floated about of LJ looking at Michigan.

Well? Let's hear em.

What kind of date?

Both are wanting to study together yet, eat nice: Olive Garden lunch (did Hebrew vocab there) Red Lobster has a new lunch menu (cheaper) recently too.

Just to hang out and have fun and cheap: King Buffet, Pizza Ranch, Hickory Park, college town places...

Nice (impress) Date: Outback Steakhouse (Ankeny/WDM), Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Applebees,.....

Just renting a movie is fun too. Or laser tag, bowling, going to Best Buy or Barnes and Noble, (Game Stop for spouse)

I'm sorry and I know you and CycloneErik are married but you're too easily pleased if Outback, and Olive Garden, etc. impress you.

Price issues:yes: I'm lucky if I get either of those once a year.

We do eat out in town on Sunday though. Besides, my very favorite place closed.

hmm well maybe not impress me....I mean I've been there already. But those two places qualify as fancy date to me.

If you're in DSM area try Flying Mango, Vern's (Waukee), Waterfront (Ankeny or WDM), or Appare Japanese Steakhouse (Urbandale).

No worries, just giving ya a hard time. I'm with ya, married with kids equals more than MickeyD's is a nice night out.
