since my broke *** cant make it down, what is best way to make memphis bbq (or other memphis stuff) to make the game with my son and a couple of friends
Do you want sauce instructions or dry rubs. Google brought up a ton. Or just head to foodnetwork....
Definitely a good gumbo. Or I have a game to play. Pick ANYTHING in your pantry and fry it
want sauce... ribs or pulled? ... PS..my pantry has Cheerios n my fridge has busch light (maybe thats why im broke )
Do a beer batter fried Cheerios!! For real tho, ribs here are delicious. IMO I would go with sauce. It's a lot less hard to mess up. If the meat isn't too good just lather it up with sauce!

Best western breakfast this morning, totally worth the drive from Iowa! 
Tops BBQ was good. I remember some food show going there. The ladies working liked to yell at people, it was awesome! If you stop, leave a tip and they will treat you right.

Ate at Blue's City Cafe last night, and the ribs were not my favorite. I liked the ribs at Pig better. Had lunch at Uncle Lou's fried chicken and it was great! Corrupted carrots (basically deep fried carrots with some spice) were good, but the biscuits were the best "side". The chicken was great, especially the "sweet/spicy love" sauce.
We had rendevous for dinner and it was pretty great. Then we got Pig for drunk food. It might have been the alcohol but the chicken at Pig was aaaaamazing. Both rendevous and pig were freaking delicious but if pressed I think I liked rendevous ribs more though.
Huey's was very good and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a change of pace from bbq. Very inexpensive.
So far I've felt Memphis bbq hasn't lived up to the hype (tried Corky's and Central). Not bad but nothing better than Iowa. Might give the Commissary a shot tonight.

Had breakfast at The Blue Plate. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. Great biscuits and gravy.
Huey's was pretty damn good last night. Live music was OK and the onion rings were ginormous and awesome.
Food in Memphis was great.I bet I gained 15 pounds.Good service most everwhere and very hospitable.
Too bad the whole FB team chit the bed and ruined the trip.

Worst good was Tops BBQ, we went there after the game, close to the stadium.
All in all, great food and beer thru out town.
