"It's My Life" by Talk Talk released in the 1980s is virtually unlistenable. No Doubt's remake is great!

Metallica has too many to list but this is one of their better covers and the original, other than the guitar lick at the beginning, is really bad.

I love this thread, I needed to go through my get ready for the weekend tunes.
Not sure which one to put as the best cover, not sure any are the 'best' cover but dang, playing the strat upside down/left handed when you are right handed gets some nod:
