Bernstine over LJ?

I will gladly give up a year here and there for decades of dominance.

Besides football and maybe wrestling (IDK I don't pay attention to it). We have pretty much beat your *** in everything since the time I've been here which is 3 years. Not really sure about your "decades" of dominance as I had no clue about the rivalry before I came to ISU. You wanna know the funny thing? I didn't know one thing about Iowa either before I came to ISU. No one cares about you outside the state and maybe the B1G. That's your "dominance".

You have been there for 3 years? So ISU is 1-2 in football in that time and got blown out the first 2 years you were there. That is beating Iowa's ***? Talk about irony in your post.

And yes, no one cares about Iowa outside the state. No one cares about ISU either. Who knew?

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I said everything BUT football and maybe wrestling. And I know that no one knew about ISU. Hell, I've said multiple times that I had no idea where Ames was located. All I know is you guys are such a great football dynasty that I should have known a little something about them before I came to ISU right?

Come on Ellen I thought you were smarter than the average Hawk fan.

How does Iowa ever lose to ISU when they have all of these draft picks?

So you are saying....basketball? Coulda just said that. Or have you been dominating in baseball, too?

:smile:

I'm well aware that Iowa is not a dynasty in any sport, but ISU/Iowa is a rivalry so things are embellished a touch.

Basketball, volleyball, softball, probably other sports but I don't really care about them as they are track, gymnastics and swimming.... I wish we would dominate in baseball because I'm a huge baseball fan. I know your not the typical **** head Hawk fan, as their are **** head Cyclone fans as well. I just love it when people say Iowa has this really awesome program when people all over the country could care less about them.

Just out of curiosity, what year did you graduate from Iowa?

I never attended the University of Iowa. I chose to pursue collegiate athletics instead and attended an out of state DIII school. Does that mean I can't be an Iowa fan? The season tickets I have had (as a kid with my father and now my family) for over thirty years don't qualify me to be a fan because I never attended the university?

I was just asking a simple question to get to know you better. Gheez, you Iowa fans are awful sensitive

Late in the draft, teams are looking for special teams contributors as much as anything. I think Bernstine has a better chance to making a ST contribution than LJ.

Disagree with that. LJ was Freshmen AA based mostly on his kick return stats...he was one of the leaders in the country. He's more physical and a bigger hitter than Bernstine. What Bernstine does have is measurables. Everyone knew that he was a physical freak coming out of HS. But he nowhere near lived up to that potential. He was solid at best his final year and alternating between bad and injured up to then. My opinion is that teams take some chances in the 7th round, so why not draft the physical freak who hasn't put it together rather than the short, slow CB that had good college production?

I do believe that LJ will have a longer/better NFL career than Bernstine and maybe Prater too.
