Bernstine over LJ?

Anyone who actually watched both Bernstine and Johnson play knows who the better football player. Bernstine might be faster, but he isn't a better a football player.

But its the NFL. They don't really care if you're a good football player as long as you fit the correct physical parameter.

Right. You know better than NFL scouts. I'm sure of it.

I will gladly give up a year here and there for decades of dominance.

you had half of the 80's and most of the 90's in football and besides wrestling you haven't really been dominant in anything else for an extended period of time, ever. also keep in mind that in wrestling ISU still has more all time dual wins than Iowa. so really explain your "decades of dominance" stupid ******* hok troll

ISU is the first team to reach 1000 dual wins but if a comparison was to be made b/t the two programs head to head, Iowa has a 58-16-2 record against ISU.

Does it really matter if each catch he had was "contested"? Isn't the point of being a defensive back to keep the receiver from catching the ball? Blackmon got his, and there wasn't much LJ could do about it. That's not a knock on the guy, Blackmon is just that good.

The catches Blackmon made on the majority of those 10/100 were the type Alabama's corners wouldn't have been able to defend, and they all went in the first couple of rounds in the draft. Weeden put them in places where only Blackmon could catch them, and then he had to use his extreme athletic ability to do so. A lot of those 10/100 were purely indefensible. And to illustrate the point, LJ was tanned as a potential second rounder after the game - and then he dropped off the map on draft day.

I'm not saying LJ got screwed, I'm just saying that saying LJ must not be that great of a corner because he gave up 10/100 to Blackmon is a perfect illustration of the lies/damn lies/statistics catchphrase. I'm also Tampa Bay may have gotten one of the greatest steals on draft weekend by signing LJ as a free agent (thus allowing them to pay him less), assuming they give him the chance to compete.

So Iowa had NFL caliber players all over their roster last year, and we still spanked them. Hmmmm... I wonder why that is? Coaching?

You'd think a team like Iowa that had so many NFL players on it would have performed better?

Spanked them? As in winning a home game in 3OT and being behind 3/4 of the game to the worst Iowa team since 2007? I guess...
