Barnes

I would rather him go to ISU than anywhere.
I would rather have him go to UNC over duke.
I would rather never have him go to Oklahoma or KU.

He'd have a much better chance at a national championship at UNC.

I think that is what it comes down to in the end. He can either stay and be the star player at a school like ours, or be a good player at a school that wins championships. For me(as much as it hurts to say this) the choice seems easy.

He will be a star player regardless of where he goes. The kid has shown he has the talent to make an impact on any team in the country.

Maybe we should have had a pro alumni game when he was visiting here...oh wait.

I think the best chance ISU has to land HB is if he wants to be a one and done. If the NBA is his goal, why not stay home where he has a great support system. He can be a superstar and showcase his talent before moving on. I also think this season is huge. If ISU can make any kind of splash nationally, he won't worry so much about playing in obscurity.

I've said this whole time UNC is the best place to enhance his pro status. He'll average a ton of points in their offense and you can't deny UNC's record of getting players to the NBA.

The only reason they send players to the NBA is because they get the good players to begin with. Lets see what Roy would do with Iowa's team.
IF Brackins went to UNC would Roy made him a better NBA player then MCD has? I don't think so. I think he will go into the NBA a more rounded player under what MCD has taught him.

Barnes can help attract top talent to ISU and help ISU take it up a another level. He can go to UNC and be just another good player or he can go to ISU and be a hero.

When was the last time that the #1 recruit in the nation wasn't 'one and done' (or went straight to the NBA from HS before the "one and done' rule)?

I don't know the answer, but I would bet that you would have to go back a lot of years to find him.
