Chizik is just the poster-boy in my mind of the us-against-the-world mentality. He thought he was too good for Ames (despite the record) and was always looking for an out.. just the impression I got. Now ESPN gushes over him and his stint at ISU is a sidenote.
What do you think Auburn would feel like if we went 8-5 or 7-6 and they had the same record. I bet they would immediately regret that trade.

The commentators said that Auburn has 18 penalties in the last 1.5 games. I think they are at 8 in the first half of this game. And for what it is worth, he is playing two QB, which appears still doesn't work for him there either.

I like the fact one AU poster says CPR is winning with GC's players. But then its hilarious when he is corrected and said that Gene couldnt even win with his own players.

The rumor is he was promised the Auburn job whenever it opened up, but the AD could make the sale easier as long as GC had some head coaching experience at a BCS school no matter what the results on the field.
Take that info for what it is worth though.
I've heard that rumored before. It's always hard to tell what is truth and fiction in things like that. Regardless, I doubt he was ever "firmly entrenched" in Ames.
Gus Malzahn is a great O coor, but dont think they have the kind of players to run his type of O. He was at Arkansas with McFadden, Felix jones and the re introduction of the Wildcat to the world.
By the sideline camera shots, and the announcers, you'd think Malzhan was their coach...might as well be.

I am *so* glad Chiz was an epic hypocrite and phony and left ISU -- and we now have a coach who knows what he's doing -- and actually cares. Long live CPR!
CPR shows more emotion in any random 2 seconds than Chiz did in 2 years. That said, I'm officially ready to forget what's-his-name.

Since someone almost always does this, I'll get this out of the way: "who cares about chizik man... move on"
but with that being said, with all of the "lots o' stars" athletes at auburn compared to ISU (according to rivals/scout/etc), I will laugh my *** off if we come out with a better record at the end of the season
