JTS new capacity sure seems to be right near the sweet spot for capacities. Many programs who aren't at the pinnacle of the sport seem to be creeping down in capacity if they are much over 65K.

Crazy thing is how Jack Trice attendance continues to buck that trend. I'm not advocating for immediate expansion, but just imagine if our program were to string together a couple ten win seasons or a few Big 12 Championships. A boy can dream...

In addition, they seem to be taking out standard seats and bringing on more premium seating options. Luckily JTS already has many of these options so they seem to be at the forefront of the market.

Simply crazy to think we have the third largest stadium in the conference and are very close to passing Texas Tech for the second largest enrollment in the conference.

And Mizzou is the only P5 school in a state with about double the population of Iowa.

Too bad one of the big companies, besides the basically 2 that have, in Iowa wont spend some money on helping ISU put a facility up.
My hope will always be to tear down the Jacobson building in the North end zone and start over, with a majestic admin/sports building butted-up to NEZ stands.

I understand we need revenue streams, but we should of tripled our press box size instead and added more indoor/outdoor club seats within a new enlarged press box area (ala U of Iowa's)

~ I love the SEZ but keep that section as less expensive seats and without an indoor club section. It will ALWAYS look 1/3-1/2 full in the SEZ, even during a big game, because those fans are lounging inside drinking beer or keeping out of the elements

I think the SEZ was designed with the option to bridge the upper deck; all you'd have to do is raise the video board to sit on top.

Watching NC at Duke. I've always thought Cameron Indoor looks like an old, cramped dump. Has anybody been there for a game?

Yes, I've been to a game at Cameron Indoor. I was lucky to go to a game at Duke and at UNC in the same day. Cameron is extremely tight. I nearly was sitting sideways on the bench. At the end of the game, I had to exit my seats out onto the floor which was odd, but cool.
At UNC, that place is way too big and didn't have half the atmosphere of Cameron. I've never liked Duke, but Cameron is kinda cool.

Building in the air is always going to be more of a challenge and more expensive than building on the ground. The time to recoup the investment is going to be much longer.

I wonder if anyone thought about a "Cyclone Experience" theater for visitors in our new facility. The special effects that you could do with a cyclone (on screen and with actual blowing wind) would be sweet.

Yeah that would be pretty cool. I'm sure Coach would want to do something more useful with that money though. For schools like LSU that have money laying around it's a little easier to do.
