Athletic Facilities across the Nation

Watching NC at Duke. I've always thought Cameron Indoor looks like an old, cramped dump. Has anybody been there for a game?

Whats up with the full fencing up the walls in that basketball court? Seems odd.
Nah that is pre-planning for the coaches to get that prison yard feel after the fbi report is fully out.

Tech south endzone renovation finally in the works:

No new renderings yet, but here are some from what has been discussed in the past:

I see Minnesota is named Land O Lakes whatever. I know that was a cooperative, maybe still is. If it still is and I was a member, I don’t know if I would be happy to have millions of my dividends going to that. Might sound cheap, but to me it’s like the Salvation Army or some non-profit donating a bunch of money to get the court at Hilton named after them.

Ha. I work for one of those big companies in iowa. If they were to announce any gift to either iowa or isu there would probably be mutiny there. Anything that does not give the shareholders value will not be considered. I would assume the other large companies are the same in that manner.

Back on topic. There's an absolute insane amount of money in college athletic facilities.
And that's why I invest in their stock. Bravo.

The "too many fans in the picture" jokes are too lazy, so I'll point out that KU being ISU 17-3 in that picture is the real wishful thinking.

Apparently we spotted them 17 points before kickoff. Only Big 12 refs would let that slide. They also took away two of our timeouts, but gave us 3 points hoping we wouldn't notice.

The fact that they are playing Iowa State is the only reason to think that the stadium would be full.

Visiting fans finally may be looking forward to filling the seats in Lawrence.

Darrell K. Royal to complete the bowl??

Possible capacity in excess of 115,000 would make it the largest football stadium in the world.

The time is now for Big 12 football to expand/renovate facilities before the next round of realignment. Rather than losing schools, we may be a popular destination.

A lot of expansion for empty seats.

I don't believe for a second these are real - and not because of the wishful thinking on the scoreboard or the attendance. I refuse to believe any KU football stadium plans that don't include a track around the field.

They are member owned and the members are large coops and other companies. Although you do bring up a point about the dividends piece. When LOL merged with United Suppliers the initial spin for the vote was all US member companies would get paid on all owed dividends, which of course they did not. LOL just absorbed 60% of the years of owed dividends from US. There are discussions among former US members of a lawsuit to claim all owed dividends.

On a side note the contents of this thread is one of the main reasons I continue to lose interest in D1 sports every year.

Minnesota's is nice, but we have almost everything they have already. Except for the lounge and that is coming soon.
