Assistant Coaches Issue (WES)

I do believe it gives you more credits which to gamble with, I think that is how that system works. Now if only we could take that to vegas.

I pose a similar question, if you can show me where more credits makes me a winner, I'd like to collect on that one as well.

Daddy needs a new lens.

I'll start over...

Welcome to CycloneFanatic, cyclonesince84. Care to share where you obtained such sensitive information portraying Wes to be a whiner?

I was a part of the program while at school now I am not and can freely talk about the issues I saw. As for exactly who I am, I don't think that would be too bright to go saying that considering I was with the program. I have nothing but many great things to say about ISU (die hard ever since born) but there are little issues here and there I wouldn't mind sharing, if you don't think I have any credibility don't read what I have to say, it won't hurt my feelings.

And I've seen the Wes being a little timid around McD since he's been here, just kind of soft was my assumption. No McD doesn't yell (that doesn't make you hard) he just has a large stature to him that can be intimidating and he uses that perfectly. And my comment about seeing Wes scared from the arena circle wasn't because thats where I am, just thought someone else would share seeing that too from the floor seats or something.

The last thing I want to do on here is get everyone going back and forth on this. When it comes down to it we all love the clones, lets do some bashing on those ignorant sqwawkeyes instead!!

We've sat very close to the court a number of times and I've never witnesses Wesley scared, sulking or anything of the sort. I will say I've never seen him really "fired up" - he's always been a quiet type of guy from my observations...at games, summer league and the practice I watched.

So I still contend you're claims are rather off base - as whiner would still be one of the characteristics I would not categorize Wesley in. The simple fact that you made a point to trash Wayne and his players for whatever reason - just made your post seem a bit more "blind Greg faithish".

You won't be the one getting everyone to go back and forth. That was taking place well before you got here.

Did you sit on a stool in the arena circle?

I guess I'm seeing this from a different point of view, sorry to bash on Wayne, but you guys realize when he left that he went to each and every player and told them to leave because McD was going to ruin the team. Seems like sabotage to me, so I guess I lost respect for Wayne and things come out wrong nowadays. I used to love watching is uptempo basketball, it was fun.

And your reason for posting this is??????????? I guess people are not allowed to post anymore without the "wrath" of ISUFan22 if he doesn't like it. It seems he has become the authority around here.

Ding, ding ding.... I could not agree more. The board is meant for people to feel welcome to join and participate. Not be ridiculed.

Ah, now this is being dug back up again. There are very, very good sources that state this is blatantly not true.

If it were true (which I don't believe it is) - it has nothing to do with this issue and has no connection with Wesley being a supposed whiner or not. The more you post...the more I really think this is a grab and making Greg look like a perfect guy here and making Wes seem like the bad guy.

I don't want to get into that one either, just saying why I don't care for him, and my sources were the players and managers on that one. But anyhoo I don't think Wes is a bad guy, just like he said they didn't connect, bringing up my first point where are the asst coaches to make that connection instead.

Did you happen to sit close to the court when Wayne was coach? If so, you would have also seen zero discipline on those teams.

Wesley Johnson could have been the must upbeat, pumped up guy on the team. It still does not change the fact that he left the one school, coach, team to give him a shot, high and dry. I have no respect for someone like that.

You are a winner because you feel 10,000 posts make your opinion carry more weight.

Then why bring it up if you're not willing to get into it?

We could have watched Wayne coach from space and known that on-court discipline was not a premium in the Wayne Morgan era. You and I are in agreement that what Wes did showed no dedication to the team and how he did it was cowardly. I said that from the start.

My issue with this thread is the original poster tossing Wes completely under the bus, painting Greg as a person without any blame and then while he's at it - trashing Wayne Morgan to deflect any backlash from Greg.

I feel that no one is without blame/responsibility here. And until I see where Wes actually winds up and how it happened - that blame in my mind extends to his new school as well.

As far as my post count, I'd like you to find a thread, any thread - where I've noted my importance based on my post count or another statistic on this site. I haven't. If you'd read the posts in this thread, you'd know where my issue is here.

Somethings in life never change.

And one of them is ISUFan22.
Same old, some old from CN.

Welcome to CycloneFantic, please enjoy your stay.

Personally, I think it is time for a mod to close this thread. It's getting way, way, too personal.

I'm hopeful that does not happen, as I'd like to learn more as to where the original poster is coming from with these claims.

I've also realigned my methods here - but there are a few folks still holding onto that. :daydreaming:

Like that really narrows things down...

I know! It only leaves you with about 500 billion people to decide from. :)

Not to put words in ISUFan22's mouth, but I suspect he has the same reservations I do. This transfer is a very frustrating event, and now we see members of the forum that have never posted on here with no reputation post insider negative information on GMac and Wes. The only reasons I see for doing this is to flame the fires or to look like a big shot who knows more than we do. ("I know something you don't know!") It may be a while before we hear the truth about the situation with Wes, and I don't see any reason to speculate at this point. All I know is I'm very disappointed, and I'm concerned about the trend of transfers from ISU.

Then why bring it up if you're not willing to get into it?

In all seriousness besides all the other stuff that came up in this thread. What do you think about the assistant coaches not being there for the connection with these players? Just curious if you have any information on that topic only?

I have absolutely no idea what you're getting at here. Other than asking me questions in response to mine.

This seems to be yet another one of those conversations that's headed in circles - with no real answers or end in sight.
