Honestly, I'd rather restore our rivalry with Missouri or the Nebraska series throwing those in place of the Iowa game every now and then. Then you're essentially not losing your non-con rivalry. Plus we still play Kansas State every year for an in conference rival.

Respect that opinion but couldn't disagree more with it. Would rather play Iowa over Mizzou or Nebby 10 times out of 10. Biggest sporting event in the state every year.

I would say record is 50% schedule, 50% strength of team. So, by my calculations, you are 50% right. We may be better next year, but with a top 10 or 15 schedule we may not see any additional wins.

Have to get a happy medium of cheapest and worst, with low travel costs and the increase in ticket sales, I doubt there is a much better option than UNI.

The Big 12 isn't that great this year. Not sure if it will be down again next year.

It's hard to get excited for our non-con. I get why we play Iowa (although a break here and there would be fine with me so we could play a different Power 5 team early on), and San Jose State fills in as the typical mid-tier FBS, but why are we playing UNI again?
