Would not be surprised if you're correct. I personally would love the new Big 12 with those 3 and equal revenue sharing.
Take your own advice. And please don't send ADJP an email questioning what he has been doing. The last thing he needs now is to waste his time reading stupid emails from fans wondering if he is "still in this".
I have to put in my 2 cents:
Jamie Pollard has as much to lose as we all do as fans in this outcome. If ISU is left out of an AQ league it will ruin JP's reputation and there is absolutely nowhere else for him to go. The man has increased donations, ISU attendence has increased, he spearheaded much needed facility upgrades/improvements, we are seeing more competitive success in every sport ISU participates in and now he could have all that ruined if ISU is left behind.
I have never met the man, but I can guarantee that JP is working harder than any Big 12 AD to get ISU out of this mess and I feel confident that we'll come out of this just fine.
Ha. I wouldn't email him. Phone call maybe, but emails are so impersonal. I saw somebody pushing that idea last week. But I think you've missed the point. Its not just me who is wondering. If it were there wouldn't be a monster thread on CF.com reaching nearly 1,000 pages now. In the absence of information people will make up their own (Again, nearly 1,000 pages on CF.com). Imagine being in a nuclear missile crisis and not hearing a word from the President or his staff. We are in our own missile crisis as a write this. (We could direct OU staff to play Tic-tac-toe but that game is beyond them - check their academics. Boom!)
This is obviously very important to you and I can feel your emotions coming through my screen. However, this is not the Cuban Missile Crisis and thank gawk JP doesn't have to spend his precious time figuring out a strategy on what and how he needs to communicate with the public to avoid mass hysteria............ like JFK did. Have a beer or take a walk or kiss your wife/dog. And calm down, ISU is great University and it is not only going to survive this, it is going to thrive.
Reputation ruined? Hardly. JP will be fine regardless of what conference ISU is a member of in 2012. He (JP) just may not be at ISU.
There is no reason to expect or want JP to say anything until there is actually something to say.

Although Chip has lost credibility with me. The play is Big XII and equal revenue with OU forcing Texas to the table. I think Texas knows they've been played cuz it's now equal revenue sharing anywhere they go. Did I mention OU won't go to pac 10 without equal revenue sharing. Boren = our best friend. OU is the only school that could have pulled this off. GG kept the rest calm. I wonder if A&M will stay now so (from Field of Dreams, Shoeless Joe quote, in reference to Ty Cobb) "we can ALL tell them (him) to "stick it!!!"

Well...one thing is for sure.....
when Texas is in town, likely at the Marriott our here on Jordan Creek where many visiting teams stay the night before the game.....I'm sending someone in to pull the fire alarms multiple times on Friday night!!!!! No rest for the those bastards going into October 1st!!!!!

I would hope that nobody from the Iowa State fan base lowers themselves to UConn style behavior. Make your point by showing more support for Iowa State at the game and by supporting the Gridiron Club. Both of these actions will have a better long-term affect.
That would be real nice to Granny who is in town just to do a little shopping and hang out with her grandkids at the pool.

Texas was doing every thing they could to **** ISU in the butt and the moral majority still raises it's ugly head. It's a joke. It is clearly a joke.
I understand what you said earlier about OU wanting equal revenue sharing for the conference but I have a hard time believing that OU and UT are not working out a deal that will keep them a step a head of rest of the conference. Maybe equal revenue sharing for Tier 1 and Tier 2 for the whole conference while OU and UT work out something for the Tier 3 between themselves.
Equal Share between T1 and T2 drops OU and UT's revenue vs the old model but they could make up for it by a deal between the two with T3 in the form of the LHN. ERS will make very little difference for schools like ISU, KU, and MU. But can help KSU and Baylor based on last years TV's appearance.
If this works essentially it stabilizes the league by making the big dogs happy through UT giving concessions with the LHN and any new schools that are added are happy with the ERS. ISU, KU, and MU enjoy continued level of revenue that they are accustomed too.
